What you will be responsible for


As Securities Lending - Manager you will


The Officer role in Markets Operations is responsible for independently managing Business‑as‑Usual (BAU) activities with high accuracy and timeliness, ensuring strong risk and control discipline, and driving continuous process improvements. The role requires subject‑matter expertise in products, processes, and systems, effective stakeholder engagement, and active people leadership within the team.


Key Responsibilities


Business as Usual (BAU) Operations


  • Handle BAU activities with timeliness and accuracy (input or review), including timely escalation of issues.


  • Operate independently with zero handholding across BAU processes.


  • Actively support team members by resolving BAU issues and queries.


  • Maintain strong end‑to‑end knowledge of processes and supporting systems.


  • Own daily task execution, including accurate and timely completion of End‑of‑Day (EOD) activities.


Product & Business Knowledge


  • Demonstrate strong business understanding and product knowledge and act as a subject matter expert (SME).


Risk, Controls & Compliance


  • Adhere to operational discipline and meet deadlines for incidents, claims, findings, mandatory trainings, and leave compliance (self and team).


  • Proactively identify control gaps and ensure controls are appropriately documented and evidenced.


  • Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of SOPs, checklists, process controls, and error logs.


Stakeholder Management


  • Understand stakeholder expectations and communicate clearly and transparently to meet agreed commitments.


  • Proactively seek stakeholder feedback, identify improvement areas, and track actions until improvements are consistently acknowledged.


Process Improvement & Technology Enablement


  • Effectively prioritize and multitask across competing deliverables.


  • Contribute actively to strategic technology programs with measurable business benefits.


  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and mitigate control gaps by improving existing processes.


Teamwork & People Leadership


  •  Drive sharing of best practices, conduct knowledge‑upskill sessions, and lead awareness sessions on errors, incidents, and process changes with updated SOPs.


  • Engage team members through regular feedback and performance reviews; support career development within span of control.


  • Partner with recruiters to ensure timely hiring of the right talent for the role.


  • Consistently demonstrate and promote State Street cultural traits and values in daily work.


Required Skills & Competencies


  •  Strong understanding of Markets Operations processes, products, and systems


  • Proven risk and control mindset with strong attention to detail
