The Enterprise Data Strategy (EDS) team, in Credit and Fraud Risk Management is responsible for optimizing risk decisions through the lifecycle by identifying, testing, and integrating internal data with external data assets. The team also manages data strategy, and relationships with key third party data providers and contribution policy with external data partners (including credit bureaus) to support risk products in prospecting, new accounts, customer management, and collection practices. The team serves as a critical channel for the exploration of new data opportunities for the firm. The incumbent will be part of the Enterprise Data Strategy team based out of India and will assume the role of Analyst/Sr. Analyst for Global Account Monitoring Product Management & Commercial Analytics within the Enterprise Data Strategy team and will partner closely with CCOs, Decision Science, Strategy & Products teams within Amex & external data partners to drive data innovation and standardization of bureau capabilities globally and optimize credit risk decisions by harnessing both internal and external data assets
We seek an Analyst/Sr. Analyst – GAM Product Management & Commercial Analytics to help define data driven decisions to improve customer experience, enable cross platform migrations / data integrations to optimize risk decisions
Responsibilities
·Manage New Data integrations globally across customer management life cycle including consumer, commercial and fraud data sources.
·Partnering with our CFRC Product owners to manage the execution by defining, validating and being responsible for end to end product ensuring operational risk guidelines are being adhered
·Define project intake based on data-usage economics, execution effort, compliance/regulatory Alignment and timing of data usage
·Continuously monitor coverage/data freshness and identify opportunities for improvement for commercial portfolio
·Periodically update senior leadership on progress on key initiatives
·Build data driven insightful analytics to identify opportunities in bureau processes for commercial portfolio
·Analytically define the measures to reduce dependency on global data source and identify opportunities for alternate data sources
Qualifications
·The candidate should possess strong project management discipline, critical and strategic thinking, and strong communication skills; be analytically inclined and high will to dive into both numeric and financial details.
·Strong data handling and ability to apply statistical / quantitative techniques and methods to drive business results. SAS or SQL expertise, a must
·Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate project scope in documentation and presentation format
Technical Skills/Capabilities
·Knowledge of SQL/SAS/HIVE/PYTHON
·Working knowledge of Credit Card business, Risk and Financial Management platforms is desired
