Contract Manager - Railway Systems Business Division

Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Change / Variation and Claims Management
Monitoring quantity and scope variations during execution of projects. Change and claims management as well as securing the compliance with processes for incoming orders and order transaction in contractual and commercial aspects.
Management of the obligation compliance, change process and claim process accordingly within the mandate and in conjunction with Legal, Project Management, Procurement and other relevant departments.
2. Risk Management
Assesment of risks and formulating mitigation strategy.
Support RSC Project Management in defining, implementing, maintaining and supporting effective change management and claim management policies, procedures and activities that grow the project scope, revenues and margins.
Working within the existing RSC Contracts & Legal function, perform general business activities and provide advice relating to contractual, Project Contract Management and claim matters throughout the business.
3. Support to Project Management / Contract Management
This role will play an active part in making sure Rail system company (RSC) is achieving higher net margins via supporting railway project in India in effective Claim Management. This position would need to handle more than one projects at a time.
Participate in project meetings with customers. This position will be responsible for the technical /contractual support all through the life time of a project with focus on the full identification of contractual obligations, potential variations and possible claim situations (primarily with customer and subcontracts).
Prepare strategies and (co-)lead negotiations on Variations and claims with customer(s).
Correspondence with customers and sub-contractors on contractual issues.
Minimum qualification & experience:
Engineering degree
Minimum 5 years experience of Contract and Claim Management in Railway (Main line/MRTS) Systems Project, obligation Management, change/Variation Management with Total job experience of 12 years.
Experience/Knowledge of contract conditions of Indian Railway / Metrorail.
Extensive experience of making and realising Claims
Qty. management during project execution and variation/change claims to customer.
Other knowledge/skills:
Good understanding of Contract conditions (General and Technical)
Negotiation skills.
Good knowledge of Drawings (Signal Engg.) and Signal equipments
