Job Description

The Accounts Receivable (AR) team is seeking a creative and passionate Senior Credit Risk Analyst with strong finance, technology and credit risk experience to help us achieve our mission of enhancing the global credit organization at Amazon with robust credit risk modeling and mechanisms. The Senior Credit Risk Analyst, Global Credit will be tasked to drive Programs and process improvements for our global credit organization in Hyderabad. To do so this person will design and leverage a multitude of data points to proactively identify credit risk, define processes and technology solutions that scale and automate credit input to other processes. This individual will implement control mechanisms to ensure controllership and compliance while having a keen eye for designing processes and technology that scale. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with finance, accounting, and credit familiarity especially in the area of Accounts Receivables. Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and experience working with Accounts Receivable operational processes. As the Senior Credit Risk Analyst of the FinOps Accounts Receivable credit risk team you will leverage your strategic influencing skills, expertise in large scale change management functions in a relentless pursuit for improvement. This individual must have a proven record of delivering results through strong program management, problem solving skills, financial process and system knowledge, and a passion for customer experience.

Primary responsibilities include:
- Partnering with Senior Manager Credit Risk to design and implement credit management processes, procedures and corrective actions aimed at minimizing Accounts Receivable risk, while supporting business growth
- Owning and Driving a global Credit risk programs and process improvements
- Keep stakeholders and their processes informed of credit risk trends.
- Partner with technology teams informing/providing requirements for the development of a proprietary credit risk management tool, conducting user acceptance testing, ensure team adoption.
Key areas of responsibility include:

1) Evaluate credit applications – analyzing data from financial statements, credit reference agencies, application forms and other third party sources to arrive at fast, fair, and appropriate credit decisions

2) Communicate with customers – requires strong Customer Obsession as an Amazon representative in credit-related communication with Amazon Business customers

3) Improve processes – work with internal teams to understand the systems and variables that affect credit management decisions, and drive improvements in the logic, tools and processes, with emphasis on automating tasks that are currently performed manually

4) Monitor credit performance – monitoring of Accounts Receivables with emphasis on financial transactions such as invoices, credits, debit-notes and cash application

5) Professional traits not unique to this position, but necessary for Amazon leaders in this role include:

- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 5+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience
- 6+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience
- 6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
- 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- 6+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience
- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
