Role Overview



Finastra is seeking a seasoned, levelheaded Full Stack Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our Cloud Delivery & Service Management team. You’ll be part of a global technology organization responsible for delivering highly reliable, secure, and modernized cloud services for our US mid-markets region, hosted in Microsoft Azure.




This role demands deep expertise across Azure, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Kubernetes, Terraform, and scripting, with a strong understanding of banking and digital application workflows. You’ll collaborate with top-tier developers, architects, and support engineers to drive service reliability, automation, and modernization across our cloud platforms.




Job Accountabilities:



As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will be part of the Global Technology organization and work closely other product engineers, architects and developers to build highly reliable products. The Cloud Delivery & Service Management Group manage the Microsoft Azure Cloud environment for US mid markets region and owns the uptime of respective products in the region. We will rely on your experience to help us build out the automated, shining beacon of best-practice infrastructure that we need, and your role will be supported by the teams of top-notch developers, support engineers and the entire Finastra organization to deliver the best of breed products and services to our clients.




Key Responsibilities

Service Reliability



  • Ensure 99.99% uptime across all critical cloud services.



  • Strengthen disaster recovery (DR) posture to minimize service disruption.



  • Implement proactive incident prevention and rapid recovery strategies.



  • Enhance system resilience through automation and architectural improvements.



Security & Compliance



  • Maintain infrastructure compliance within defined risk thresholds.



  • Minimize vulnerabilities and enforce secure coding and deployment practices.



  • Strengthen Privileged Access Management (PAM) and support audit readiness (SOC, FBA, NACHA, RCSA).



Modernization & Automation



  • Reduce technical debt and contribute to modernization roadmaps.



  • Adopt and apply modern architectures and AI-driven automation.



  • Continuously upskill to stay aligned with evolving tech and customer needs.



DevOps & Cloud-Ops



  • Manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.



  • Architect and maintain infrastructure using Terraform and Azure best practices.



  • Operate and optimize Kubernetes clusters and containerized workloads.



  • Drive build and release engineering excellence across environments.



AppOps & Workflow Optimization



  • Collaborate with application teams to ensure seamless deployment and monitoring.



  • Understand and optimize banking and digital application workflows.



  • Implement observability and telemetry solutions for business-critical apps.



Required Skills & Experience

  • Service Operations: Incident Management, On-call AppOps, Application Uptime



  • Security & Compliance: JumpCloud, PAM, vulnerability management, audit support



  • Domain Knowledge: Banking workflows, digital application lifecycle



  • Soft Skills: Problem-solving, collaboration, communication, ownership mindset



  • At least 6+ years of computing experience, knowledge and excitement about the terrain and 2+ years of direct Azure experience



  • A solid grasp of the programming tools (Vibe coding) at their disposal, and knowledge of the time and place to use each one.



  • Strong security/audit awareness.



  • Vulnerability and patch management



  • Performance Testing: Load Runner (OpenText), Gatling (good to have).
