Key Responsibilities:


  • Contributes to design, development, solving, debugging, evaluating, modifying, deploying, and documenting software and systems that meet the needs of customer-facing applications, business applications, and/or internal end user applications
  • Function as an active member of an agile team by contributing to software builds through consistent development practices (tools, common components, and documentation)
  • Participate in code reviews and automated testing
  • Debug basic software components and identify code defects for remediation
  • Support and monitoring of software across test, integration, and production environments
  • Automate deployments in test or production environments
  • Explores new automation techniques to refine the agility, speed and quality of engineering initiatives and efforts
  • Defines test conditions based on the requirements and specifications provided. Takes part in reviews of own work and handles work efficiently.

Skills & Qualifications:


 Experience:
•   Preferably a BS or MS degree in computer science, computer engineering, or other technology field
•   10+ years of software development experience with Java, Big Data and SQL Technologies
•   Ability to effectively interpret technology and business objectives and challenges and eloquent solutions
•   Willingness to learn new technologies and exploit them to their optimal potential
•   Design, code, and implement highly scalable and reliable applications. 
•   Coordinate with other team’s architect, engineers and vendors as vital.
•   Deliver on all phases of development work from initial kick-off, setup, application development, and support.
•   Identify exciting opportunities for adopting new technologies to solve existing needs and predicting future challenges
•   Perform ongoing refactoring of code, using visualization and other techniques to fast track concepts, and delivering continuous improvement
•   Work with product managers to prioritize features for ongoing sprints and managing a list of technology requirements based on industry trends, new technologies, known defects, and issues
•   Manage your own time, and work well both independently and as part of a team
•   Quickly generate and update proof of concepts for testing and team feedback
•   Embrace emerging standards while promoting high quality practices.

At the core of Software Engineering every member of our team must be able to demonstrate the following technology, functional, leadership and business proficiencies, including: 
•   Java 8 & above, SQL
•   Agile Practices
•   Porting/Software Configuration
•   Continuous Integration and Deployment
•   DevOPs and test-driven development
•   Concepts of Oracle, NoSql
•   Source Control 
•   Jenkins, Maven, XLR, JMeter
•   Knowledge of Containerization concepts, Orchestration concepts
•   Familiar with Open Source technologies
