Duties and Responsibilities –
- Maintain an accurate inventory of Network Infrastructure
- Create and update technical documentation to be presented to clients as well as for internal support purposes.
- Ensure that the IT infrastructure is patched regularly (Network devices patches)
- Drive detailed network design documentations, and technology migration strategies/integration plans for solutions.
- Responsible for the delivery and ensure compliance is met to the regulatory standard by utilizing commercial Network Security / Firewall /SLB/ WAF/ TCP/IP / Routing Protocol skills.
- Design, building and fault-finding on network solutions.
- Configuring and installing various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS)
- Technical support for networking such as: AWS, WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, wireless and security.
- Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations.
- Monitoring network engineering performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
- Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning
- Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues.
- Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure.
- Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company’s security team.
- Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
- Respond to and resolve alerts and tickets generated from the monitoring system and/or customer requests in a timely fashion.
- Maintain accurate time and records in all service tickets as performed.
- Support relating to technical issues involving OEM core business applications and operating systems.
- Identify problems and errors prior to or when they occur and log all such incidents in a timely manner with the required level of detail.
- Perform the role of operations specialist during shift to monitor SLA/ OLA and ensure all measures are taken to avoid breaches.
What do you need to know?
- Knowledge to Administer systems and services related to WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, wireless and security for the purpose of ensuring availability of services to authorized users.
- Knowledge of the infrastructure (hardware, client devices, operating systems, Software-Defined Networking management, importance of systems redundancy etc.)
- Good technical understanding of Desktop OS, Server OS, Remote Working methods, and their relationships with other systems
- Knowledge of all areas of IT Infrastructure outside of immediate area of specialization (Networking) to an intermediate level (Desktop OS, Windows OS, Client Systems, Directory Systems)
- CCNP or CCNA certified is nice to have.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar related fields required.
