On-site Installation and Commissioning: Oversee the physical installation, configuration, testing (FAT/SAT), and final commissioning of Telecom subsystems, such as Building Management Systems (BMS), Energy Monitoring Systems (EMS), CCTV, Access Control, and Fire Alarm Systems.
Maintenance and Support: Plan and execute preventive maintenance (PM) to ensure system reliability and compliance with service level agreements (SLAs). This includes diagnosing and resolving technical issues promptly to minimize downtime.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose complex technical problems related to integrated systems, often in real-time at customer sites, and provide effective solutions and repairs.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed and accurate records of all field activities, technical issues, resolutions, as-built drawings, wiring diagrams, and operational manuals. Review the AUTO CAD AS WELL AS REVIT 3D models. Familiarity with relevant software like AutoCAD, project management tools, and specific BMS/automation software (e.g., Workbench, EBI, Webs) is often beneficial.
Coordination and Training: Coordinate with clients, contractors, vendors, and internal project teams (civil, electrical, mechanical, IT) to ensure seamless project execution and integration. They also provide technical training and support to clients and end-users on system operation and maintenance.
Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure all field operations and installations adhere to relevant industry standards (e.g., ASHRAE, UPTIME, NFPA) and safety regulations.
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field is typically required.
Experience: Prior experience (usually 2+ years) in field engineering or project implementation within the ELV (Extra Low Voltage)
Onsite employees are expected to attend a Jacobs Workplace on a full-time basis, as required by the nature of their role.
