Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications and systems to support our cybersecurity products.


  • Collaborate with senior developers, architects, and security engineers to design, implement, and optimize software solutions.


  • Work on both new development and feature enhancements, ensuring code quality, performance, and security.


  • Participate in code reviews, providing feedback and suggestions for improvements while adhering to team coding standards.


  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to application performance, security vulnerabilities, and bugs.


  • Contribute to system architecture discussions, bringing ideas for scalable, reliable, and secure solutions.


  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (QA, DevOps, product management) to ensure the timely delivery of features and products.


  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in software development and cybersecurity.


  • Help mentor junior developers and assist in the onboarding process for new team members.


Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).


  • 7 - 9 years of experience in Java development, with a solid understanding of object-oriented design and software development principles.


  • Strong experience with backend development, including Java frameworks (e.g., Spring, Hibernate) and RESTful API design.


  • Proficiency in working with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and SQL.


  • Experience with version control tools such as Git, and familiarity with build tools (e.g., Maven, Gradle).


  • Understanding of software testing methodologies (unit testing, integration testing) and tools.


  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize code effectively.


  • Experience with Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and working in cross-functional teams.


  • Knowledge of security best practices and an understanding of common vulnerabilities (e.g., SQL injection, XSS).


  • Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal.


Nice to Have:


  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.


  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.


  • Experience with JavaScript, front-end frameworks, or full-stack development.


  • Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, such as encryption, secure coding, and vulnerability testing.


  • Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., JUnit, Selenium) and performance monitoring.
