Job Description

Overview This is a crucial role in driving the Marketing Transformation Agenda across both food and beverages for PepsiCo globally. At its core, this role is critical in supporting and equipping PEP to achieve accretive growth in the future. Accretive growth requires a strong and intentional focus on the science of growth, with best practices applied consistently and at scale. This role is responsible for delivery of analytics in the development of the Enterprise Growth Model, which deliver proven drivers of growth across the organisation. This role will support establishment on the case for change through delivering analytics around existing growth drivers, scaling and improving existing best in class models, test and learn on predictive indicator metrics, and deliver analytics to prove or refine ongoing hypotheses across the PEP Enterprise Growth Philosolphy. This requires leveraging a wide expanse of data sets to support the change management and deliver a developing performance ecosystem which can be embedded across sectors. This role will need to influence across the GBS CME teams to establish partnership and key knowledge for the delivery of the framework, and integrate results to be delivered senior, non technical, audiences in a compelling way. This role requires a strong insights and analytics foundation, a deep understanding of core syndicated data sets and complex analytical methodologies and the ability to deliver holistic insights with a bias for strong business relevant implications which drive action Responsibilities Deliver Enterprise Growth analytics Deliver analytics which drives the case for change and delivers evidences around how the growth philosophy manifests across the breadth of PEP categories and markets Leverage business performance insghts and experiences from across teams to incorporate considerations beyond data into insights Develop robust explanations of business performance, drivers, and optimization opportunities which lead to insight led decision making Flawless delivery to PepsiCo Consumer leadership team on clear performance and consumption indicators Provide responses to ad-hoc follow-ups when double-click required with analytics using integrated data sources and science based principles Define & Validate Growth Levers: Deliver analytics to experiment and validate growth levers and tactics within a small set of markets representing key focus areas and/or unique profiles Analyse and identify interdependencies / correlations across predictive indicators (mental availability, physical availability, value creation) - partnering with consumer and commercial teams to understand the relative impact and interdependencies across metrics to build evidence on amplification of good decisions vs. diluting the impact through contradictory decisions Design and Lead Delivey on Hypothesis Testing to evolve the model Deliver execution on analytics, pilot design, post experiment impact to assess the validaity of the hypotheses, and applicability of results across different market conditions Evaluate and integrate analytics, with clear story telling and implications enabling a simply understood narrative which drives decisions in the ongoing model design Qualifications An experienced Insight or Analytics professional with experience in a leading consumer goods company. 9 years+ experience Education: MA in economics, statistics, marketing or management Language: English Fluent Proven analytics, shopper research experience, consumer insights experience or commercial experience in a combination with strong analytical skills Bias for Action and Impact: Motivates action through evidence-based, compelling material; Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Strong knowledge of insights and analytics role, process and tools. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with the ability to influence and demonstrate confidence in communications with senior level management. Solid presentational skills. Strong project management skills; Self-motivated/self-starter with the ability to work independently. High degree of familiarity with CPG and Food & Beverage industry data sources, including Nielsen/IRi (POS and HH panel), GlobalData, Kantar Worldpanel, etc., strong understanding of consumer insights is desired Deep understanding of CPG industry business performance outputs and causal measures, their relationships, and how to bring business performance insights to life visually Experience with Agile development methods, Tableau, Business Objects, D3 open source visualization, SQL, R and SPSS desired
