Senior Mobile Application Developer

What success looks like in this role:

• Provides Software Applications Engineering support for larger and more complex applications / project areas.
• Performs build and deployment for application development efforts.
• Designs basic requirements that are effective, timely and comply with project standards.
• Configures, programs and tests applications / technical architecture components.
• Fixes defects and performance related problems.
• Accountable for service commitments at individual request level for in scope development work.
• Reviews design, coding, and unit testing to ensure compliance with the standard defined for the project.
• Works with the BA team to understand requirements and use cases.
• Develop sizing for assigned use cases with inputs from the BA team.
• Deploys QAT or UAT environments independently.
• Works closely with the testing team to understand existing and newly generated issues (regression) and works towards providing solutions.
• Explores alternative solutions by selecting the best option, through applying DAR techniques.
• Participates in code reviews, works with other developers, designers, and architects to ensure requirements are met.
• Ensures the integrity of pre-production environments, such as development, test, QA and staging environments.
• Leads efforts in specific process improvement and technical automation areas.
• Provides regular status updates for self / team to project lead / manager.
• Helps less experienced team members in completion of upskilling training / tasks.

• Develop and maintain mobile applications using Flutter and Dart, adhering to object-oriented principles and best practices.
• Implement state management, routing, and responsive UI using Flutter widgets and layouts.
• Ensure seamless integration with platform-specific features (e.g., Android).
• Implement authentication and security mechanisms, including SSO and other secure login methods.
• Design, develop, and test APIs for mobile application functionality.
• Integrate mobile applications with client systems and corporate platforms via API integration.
• Implement push notifications and in-app messaging features.
• Conduct unit testing, widget testing, and integration testing to ensure application reliability and performance.
• Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues proactively.
• Manage deployment processes, including CI/CD pipelines and Company Portal Integration (e.g., Microsoft Intune or similar).
• Provide support for operational systems and ensure smooth functioning post-deployment.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience in Flutter development and a strong command of Dart.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and asynchronous programming concepts.
• Experience with local storage and database integration.
• Hands-on experience with state management frameworks (e.g., Provider, Bloc, Riverpod).
• Knowledge of authentication protocols, security best practices, and SSO implementation.
• Familiarity with API development, testing tools, and integration techniques.
• Experience implementing push notifications and messaging services.
• Proficiency in testing methodologies (unit, widget, integration).
• Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and deployment tools.
• Experience with Company Portal Integration (Microsoft Intune or similar).
• Ability to work with and support operational systems in production environments.

BA/BS degree and 5-8 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience
