Senior Network Architect

This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Min Experience: 6 years Location: Gurgaon, NCR JobType: full-time We are seeking a highly experienced  Senior Network Architect  to design, build, and evolve secure, scalable, and high-performance enterprise network infrastructures.
This role is ideal for a hands-on network expert who combines deep technical knowledge with architectural vision and enjoys owning complex network environments end to end.
As a Senior Network Architect, you will be responsible for defining network strategy, designing resilient WAN and data center architectures, and ensuring seamless connectivity across on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments.
You will play a critical role in modernizing network platforms, strengthening security posture, and supporting business growth through reliable and future-ready network solutions.
Key Responsibilities Design, architect, and maintain enterprise-grade network solutions covering WAN, LAN, and data center environments Lead the implementation and optimization of WAN technologies, including MPLS, Point-to-Point (P2P), and SD-WAN solutions Architect and manage Layer 2 and Layer 3 network protocols to ensure optimal routing, switching, and traffic flow Own firewall architecture, deployment, and optimization with a strong focus on network security and policy enforcement Design and manage network security solutions using next-generation firewalls, ensuring high availability and performance Work extensively with Juniper and Palo Alto platforms for routing, switching, and security use cases Design and deploy modern SD-WAN solutions, including CloudGenix, to enhance network agility and performance Ensure high availability, redundancy, and fault tolerance across all network components Troubleshoot complex network issues across WAN, firewall, routing, and switching layers Collaborate with cloud and infrastructure teams to support hybrid and multi-cloud connectivity Create and maintain detailed network architecture documentation, diagrams, and operational runbooks Provide technical leadership, guidance, and best practices to network and operations teams What Makes You a Great Fit Minimum  6+ years of experience  in enterprise network architecture, design, and operations Strong hands-on expertise in  firewalls , WAN technologies, and network security architecture Deep understanding of  L2/L3 protocols , routing, switching, and traffic engineering Proven experience working with  MPLS, P2P connectivity , and large-scale WAN environments Extensive hands-on experience with  Juniper and Palo Alto  networking and security solutions Practical experience implementing and managing  CloudGenix / SD-WAN  solutions Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve high-impact network issues efficiently Experience designing networks that support high availability, scalability, and performance Ability to translate business requirements into robust technical network designs Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills A proactive mindset with ownership of architecture decisions and continuous improvement Experience supporting hybrid cloud or cloud-connected networks is a strong advantage
