Inviting applications for the role of Senior Principal Consultant – .SQL Developer
In this role, you will be responsible to provides enterprise-wide strategic leadership in architecting, governing, and modernizing large scale data ecosystems powered by SQL and advanced ETL technologies. This role drives digital transformation initiatives, defines long term data strategy, and ensures alignment with organizational and industry standards. The consultant serves as the top-level technical authority, guiding cross functional teams and executives to deliver resilient, innovative, and scalable data solutions.
Responsibilities
• Define and own the organization’s end to end data architecture vision, integration strategy, and modernization roadmap.
• Lead enterprise level design of scalable databases, data warehouses, and cloud native ETL frameworks.
• Champion adoption of modern data technologies, automation platforms, and architectural innovations.
• Establish enterprise standards for SQL development, ETL engineering, data governance, and security compliance.
• Act as the ultimate escalation point for performance tuning, query optimization, storage strategy, and large database workload management.
• Oversee architecture of high volume, real time, and batch based ETL pipelines across hybrid and cloud ecosystems.
• Lead major platform migrations, legacy modernization, and multi cloud data transformation initiatives.
• Provide expert guidance on data modeling, distributed processing, reliability engineering, and disaster recovery.
• Serve as a senior advisor to executive leadership, influencing decisions on data strategy, investments, and technology adoption.
• Mentor consultants, senior developers, architects, and leads to elevate engineering maturity across teams.
• Drive governance frameworks, quality standards, and architecture review boards for enterprise data solutions.
• Lead resolution of high severity production incidents and ensure long term systemic improvements.
• Work closely with senior business partners to translate strategic goals into scalable data architectures.
• Present complex technical insights, risk assessments, and solution recommendations to executive leadership.
• Ensure all data solutions align with business outcomes, regulatory expectations, and organizational KPIs.
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications / Skills
• BE/B Tech/MCA or equivalent degree.
• Strong experience in SQL & Relational Database.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
• Mastery of SQL optimization, execution plans, indexing strategies, and partitioning for large-scale systems. Expertise in relational database internals (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL) and optimizer behavior.
• Architecting high availability, fault tolerant, and distributed database systems.
• Capacity planning, workload governance, storage strategy, and performance benchmarking.
• Design and oversight of enterprise ETL/ELT frameworks using ADF, SSIS, Informatica, Talend, etc.
• Architecting pipelines for high throughput batch, micro batch, and real time streaming workloads.
• Framework standardization: reusable components, orchestration patterns, quality gates.
• Ensuring scalability, cost efficiency, and observability across all data flows.
• Deep expertise in cloud ecosystems: Azure (ADF, Synapse, SQL MI), AWS (Glue, Redshift), GCP (BigQuery), Snowflake.
• Designing lakehouse/lake architecture (Delta Lake, Spark, Databricks, Unity Catalog).
• Multi cloud and hybrid strategy, cross region replication, and cloud migration governance.
• FinOps for data: optimization of compute/storage spend across platforms.
• Enterprise level data modeling (3NF, star/snowflake, data vault, semantic layers).
• Defining canonical data models, integration patterns, and domain driven data architecture.
• Aligning data architecture to business KPIs, analytical needs, and operational systems.
• Creating enterprise data governance frameworks: lineage, cataloging, stewardship.
• Implementing row/column level security, encryption, tokenization, and access policies.
• Advanced data quality engineering: rules engines, validation layers, audit controls.
• Establishing SLOs/SLIs for data platforms; defining error budgets.
• Architecting DR strategies, failover designs, recovery playbooks, and automated self healing systems.
• Root cause analysis leader for critical production/data platform incidents.
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep), policy as code, and pipeline automation.
• Building internal toolkits, reusable libraries, and engineering accelerators.
• Leading architecture review boards, defining standards, and enforcing best practices.
• Coaching consultants, leads, and architects to strengthen engineering maturity.
• Managing enterprise wide programs, migrations, and modernization roadmaps.
• Translating complex technical concepts into executive friendly insights.
• Driving decisions with architectural reasoning, risk analysis, and ROI justification.
