Astrome Technologies is seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Engineer specializing in Satellite and Space systems to join our team.
In this role, you will play a vital part in the procurement process for satellite components, systems, and services, ensuring that our projects are well-supported with high-quality materials and services delivered on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement procurement strategies for satellite and space components, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and project requirements.
Identify and establish relationships with suppliers globally, focusing on high-quality, reliable vendors for satellite hardware and systems.
Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers, optimizing value while ensuring compliance with project specifications and timelines.
Conduct thorough market research to stay abreast of industry trends, advancements, and emerging technologies relevant to satellite and space procurement.
Collaborate closely with engineering, project management, and logistics teams to forecast demand and fulfill procurement needs effectively.
Oversee the entire procurement process, from purchase order issuance through delivery, ensuring timely and efficient fulfillment.
Monitor supplier performance and manage relationships to resolve any issues, ensuring quality standards are met and maintained.
Lead initiatives for cost reduction and supplier performance improvement in satellite procurement.

Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in procurement, with a focus on satellite or aerospace components and systems.
Strong expertise in negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships in complex technical industries.
Extensive knowledge of the satellite and space industry, including components, technologies, and market dynamics.
Proficiency in using ERP systems and procurement software to manage procurement activities efficiently.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
