The Enterprise Monitoring team provides comprehensive solutions for monitoring, event management, correlation, automation, and runbook execution. These capabilities enable MasterCard to maintain continuous availability of business services and applications while optimizing operational costs and efficiency.
Role Summary- Subject Matter Expert in Tivoli Workload Scheduler
This position requires close collaboration with technology support teams and application teams to design and implement monitoring and automation solutions that enhance application and infrastructure availability.
• Have you resolved complex application availability issues using monitoring and automation?
• Are you a self-starter who can work with minimal direction and guidance?
Responsibilities include:
• Driving complex projects in collaboration with team members
• Planning and designing solutions for new requirements and operational issues related to Tivoli Work Scheduler (TWS)
• Administering and maintaining TWS in a multi-tier environment
• Providing technical guidance and developing technology roadmaps for TWS
• Representing the team in project meetings to gather requirements, provide updates, training, and technical support
• TWS Upgrade and migration experience
• Engaging with customers to understand operational challenges and implement solutions that improve product health
• Maintaining design and support documentation for all solutions and processes
• Providing on-call administration and operational support
• Quickly learning and integrating emerging technologies to resolve related issues
• Supporting business disaster recovery procedures for assigned areas
• Documenting duties and procedures to facilitate cross-training and coverage
• Collaborating with engineering teams to manage and improve processes.
Qualifications – All About You
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong collaboration abilities
• Expertise in UNIX and/or Red Hat Linux
• Extensive experience in Tivoli Work Scheduler administration, including version upgrades, agent configuration, and server maintenance
• Networking knowledge from fundamentals to advanced concepts, including security
• Good knowledge of Shell and Perl scripting
• Solid understanding of operating systems, infrastructure software, computer hardware, and peripherals
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with a strong sense of urgency
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
