As a Senior Magento Frontend Engineer, you will collaborate with global, cross-functional teams to develop, enhance, and modernize the frontend user interfaces of our multi-region eCommerce platform. Your focus will be on implementing engaging themes, styling, and ensuring optimal user experience. You will work closely with the backend team to ensure smooth integration and performance.
Develop and implement visually appealing and responsive themes and layouts for Magento storefronts.
Style and brand the storefronts to meet design specifications, ensuring consistency across regions.
Utilize Knockout.js to develop dynamic and interactive frontend components.
Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate designs into functional interfaces.
Work with backend developers to integrate frontend features with business logic and APIs.
Optimize frontend performance for faster load times and smoother user interactions.
Conduct cross-browser and device testing to ensure compatibility.
Stay updated with the latest frontend best practices and Magento frontend features.
Assist in troubleshooting and resolving frontend issues.
Contribute to continuous improvement of the frontend codebase and best practices.
Strong experience in Magento 2 frontend development, including theme and style customization.
Proficiency with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, including Knockout.js.
Experience creating responsive, user-friendly themes and layouts within Magento.
Ability to translate design prototypes into pixel-perfect frontend implementations.
Knowledge of frontend performance optimization techniques.
Familiarity with core Magento frontend architecture, including layout XMLs, static content deployment, and theming.
Experience working with REST APIs and integrating frontend components with backend systems.
Understanding of cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness.
Experience with version control systems such as Git.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a focus on user experience.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills, able to work closely with designers, backend developers, and stakeholders.
Bonus: Experience with Adobe Target for A/B testing and personalization to enhance user engagement.
