Job Description

NVIDIA is searching for a creative and highly motivated engineer with expertise in computer graphics and image processing to join Tegra system-on-chip (SOC) system software group! Getting the best image quality video output is an intricate task which requires detailed understanding of color science, graphics software stacks, ASIC implementations and display technologies (e.g. LCD, LED, OLED etc). Ideal candidate will have a real passion for pushing the image quality to its limit and this creativity will be fully tested and applied here.


What you'll be doing:


  • Define, design, develop, test and maintain high quality color correct video output (via DisplayPort, HDMI, DSI etc) of Tegra products.


  • Produce color correction and color management solutions for the NVIDIA and OEM projects.


  • Candidate will have an opportunity to work along side graphics, system SW and HW designers across NVIDIA to influence video output image quality for the current and next-gen products.


What we need to see:


  • BS or MS degree in Computer Science, or related degree or equivalent experience.


  • We are seeking 5+ years of relevant system sw development experience.


  • Skilled control over C/C++ and good understanding of the graphics video output (display) drivers.


  • We need good understanding of the display protocols (e.g. DP/eDP, HDMI etc.) and how the content relate attributes are communicated between the sink and the source devices.


  • Strong debugging skills spanning across various domains, e.g. graphics rendering libraries, low-level device drivers, protocol analyzers etc.


  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.


Ways to stand out from the crowd:


  • Experience working with Linux graphics stack (e.g. DRM-KMS, Wayland protocol, Mesa drivers - OpenGL, Vulkan).


  • Background with productizing HDR (HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision etc.) technologies.
