Job Profile:


  • Senior Systems/Sales Engineer will drive the adoption of Amagi technology, products and services. The sales Engineer will evangelize and demonstrate Amagi’s capabilities and solutions to customers and help drive revenue growth for Amagi. 
  • The Sr. Sales Engineer’s key responsibility is to architect appropriate solutions based on customer requirements and Amagi product capabilities.
  • The Sr. Sales Engineer will work with the Sales Engineering team and focus on the full-cycle presale process, from providing technical product knowledge and design solutions to working closely with engineering, product and Sales teams and making product trials a success.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Technical Customer Service for Existing Accounts and new accounts coming in APAC.
  • Ensure Customer delight by understanding customer requirements, documenting them for internal execution and delivery and distribution
  • Attend meetings with existing customers to understand new technical and business requirements, current operational & technical issues with Amagi solutions deployed
  • Coordinate closely with Amagi product engineering team, procurement and design resources to align solution design with customers’ for new requirements and resolutions of open technical issues on current deployments.

Pre-Sales Qualification for New Accounts


  • Successfully integrate Amagi products with Third-party systems from customers.
  • Support with technical qualification of each account within the Amagi Environment or Customer environment
  • Understand Customer queries and build /curate solutions to support deployment and manage success criteria for POC.
  • To define the scope and run custom Proof of concept trials with respective Regional SE Leaders. 
  • Build relationships and work with customer’s engineering and operations team.
  • Monitor customer support for technical solutions proposed to potential risks of deal closure.

Software and Solution Detailing


  • Knowledge of Linux administration
  • Familiarity with containerized architecture
  • Scripting knowledge in Python (or other languages like php, perl) is preferred
  • Familiarity with AWS/GCP highly preferred
  • Knowledge of digital video and usage of video tools like ffmpeg, GStreamer and similar tools would be a great plus.

Sales Engineering Management


  • Work with Regional Leads to structure and produce compelling sales proposals/commercial and technical documentation outlining the cost savings and business benefits to customers.
  • Support the Regional Leads, Plan and manage bid process (RFI/RFQs) when necessary.
  • All Amagi roles have additional Information Security & Data Privacy responsibilities:
  • Comply with all Information Security policies, procedures, and guidelines established for the protection of Amagi's information assets.
  • Report immediately any actual or suspected security and/or policy violations or breaches to the information security team.
  • Carry out all security responsibilities defined for and associated with the role.

Skills and Expertise Required:


  • Experience in working with cross-functional teams responsible for customer delivery
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal. Knowing additional languages is an added advantage.
  • Working Knowledge/understanding in the Broadcast / OTT / Digital media space.
  • Working knowledge of channel provisioning and scheduling, ad insertion, stream delivery via multiple mechanisms like satellite, IP(Zixi/RTP/RTMP), Fiber & OTT(HLS /DASH) would be welcomed.
  • Self learner and a Team collaborator is all we are looking for in this role.
  • Knowledge of AWS, GCP, Creation of Terraform& CloudFormation templates would be a positive.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, Github/Gitops, and Jenkins would be an added advantage.
  • Hands-on system administration experience with Linux or other Unix operating systems
