The Senior Technical Architect is a pivotal role within the Group IT Architecture Chapter.
You will lead the design and delivery of high-performance, high-quality architectural solutions that drive exceptional value for internal users and millions of our customers.
As a technical authority, you will be responsible for maintaining architectural blueprints and ensuring standardized, resilient, and secure designs across Agile, Platform, Infrastructure, and Data teams.
Required Skills & Experience Experience: 10–14+ years in IT, with at least 5 years as a Solutions/Technical Architect within the Banking or Financial Services (BFSI) sector.
Technical Stack: Proficiency in cloud-native technologies (Containers, Kubernetes/OpenShift), Microservices architecture , and real-time messaging (KAFKA).
Integration: Deep understanding of system integration patterns and APIs (REST, JSON, XML).
Standards: Expertise in industry frameworks like TOGAF 9.
x/10 and ArchiMate .
Automation: Working knowledge of scripting (Python, PowerShell) and CI/CD automation pipelines.
Core Competencies Strategic Mindset: Ability to balance immediate delivery needs with long-term architectural stability.
Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication skills for interacting with Department Heads and cross-functional leadership.
Agile Proficiency: Deep understanding of Scrum/Agile frameworks and the "Chapter/Tribe" operating model.
Qualifications Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
Preferred: TOGAF Certification and experience with banking-specific security/regulatory mandates.
Key Responsibilities 1.
Architectural Strategy & Blueprinting Develop and maintain comprehensive architectural blueprints for the Group, ensuring alignment with the ENBD long-term technology strategy.
Define and enforce common architectural standards (Resiliency, Reliability, and Security - RRS) across all digital and banking platforms.
Lead the "Chapter" of architects, ensuring consistent modeling practices and knowledge sharing across diverse tribes.
2. Solution Design & Agile Delivery Collaborate with Agile squads and Platform teams to design end-to-end technical solutions for complex banking initiatives.
Act as the bridge between business requirements and technical execution, translating needs into scalable, cloud-native architectures.
Oversee design modeling across all enterprise layers (Business, Data, Application, and Technology - BDAT).
3. Engineering Excellence & Governance Champion a "build-from-within" engineering culture by minimizing vendor dependency and maximizing in-house innovation.
Govern the lifecycle of architecture solutions, identifying and mitigating technical debt and performance bottlenecks.
Review and approve High-Level Designs (HLD) and Low-Level Designs (LLD), ensuring they meet the bank’s stringent data security standards.
4. Mentorship & Chapter Leadership Mentor and coach architects and engineers working within Agile, Infrastructure, and Data teams.
Conduct educational workshops and peer-review sessions to foster a culture of technical innovation and continuous improvement.
