Role Description
What would you accomplish as a Program Manager in Platform Engineering Team?
We are seeking a highly motivated and technically savvy Program Manager to join the Platform Engineering leadership team. This role is crucial for orchestrating complex, cross-functional projects that underpin our core financial service offerings, ensuring they are delivered on committed timelines and meet high standards for quality, scalability, and security.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of modern Platform Engineering concepts (such as IaC, CI/CD, Observability, and hybrid cloud environments) and possess exceptional communication skills to manage expectations and drive accountability across diverse groups. This position demands a strategic thinker who can translate technical roadmap items into actionable project plans and high-impact business outcomes within a regulated financial domain.
The responsibilities will include:
· Own the full project lifecycle for high-priority Platform Engineering initiatives (e.g., cloud migration, standardization of CI/CD pipelines, implementation of new monitoring solutions). Drive activities, manage scope, and ensure all deliverables are met on time and within budget.
· Serve as the primary communication bridge between engineering teams, senior leadership, Operations, Enterprise Architecture, and Security/Compliance groups. Proactively identify, track, and mitigate cross-functional dependencies and risks.
· Develop, publish, and maintain robust project dashboards, status reports, and executive summaries, providing clear visibility into project health, resource utilization, and progress against key performance indicators (KPIs).
· Implement and refine agile project management methodologies suitable for infrastructure and platform development, ensuring repeatable and efficient delivery processes.
· Expertly manage complex project schedules, anticipating potential delays and driving proactive solutions to ensure strict adherence to committed delivery timelines required in the financial industry.
· Clearly articulate the business and technical value of Platform Engineering initiatives to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring project goals align with overall firm strategy.
Experience required
What we are looking for:
5 to 8 years of demonstrated experience in project or program management, specifically within technical or infrastructure domains.
Proven experience working in the Financial Services industry or similar highly regulated environments, managing projects with critical compliance and performance requirements.
Demonstrated understanding of Platform Engineering concepts and modern infrastructure trends (e.g., Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), containerization, hybrid cloud (Azure/On-Prem), and automated monitoring)
Expert knowledge of project management principles, methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban), and proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project).
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a track record of successfully running meetings, presenting complex data, and resolving conflict among senior stakeholders.
Proven ability to design and deliver effective, data-driven dashboards and reports for executive consumption.

Experience preferred
Direct experience managing projects focused on specific technologies like Terraform, Kubernetes, or Azure DevOps.
Experience managing projects involving significant security and regulatory risk.
