Job Family Definition:
Provide technology consulting to external customers and internal project teams. Responsible for providing technical support and/or leadership in the creation and delivery of technology solutions designed to meet customers’ business needs and, consequently, for understanding customers’ businesses. As trusted advisor create and maintain effective customer relationships so as to insure customer satisfaction. Maintain knowledge of leading edge technologies and industry/market domain knowledge. Actively contribute to the company’s solutions portfolio by providing information ranging from technical knowledge to methodologies based on experience gained from customer projects. What you’ll do:
Responsibilities:
The candidate is expected to have broader understanding of the below and SME skills in at least two technology areas/ platform.
- Interact with sales/pursuit/ Presales team in country and work with them to understand the customer requirement, review RFP and Solution requirement etc.
- Deliver best-in-class technology solutions to solve customer business challenges, while also meeting HPE business objectives
- Solid hands-on experience in Architecting, designing and deploying IaaS, PaaS, Virtualization Technologies – MS Hyper-V, Hybrid Cloud, Containers, VMware, Citrix. Good knowledge on Capacity Planners.
- Solid hands-on experience in deploying, Virtualization, Hybrid Cloud, Containers, automation (Iaac), HPC/AI/ML skills, Desktop Imaging, Desktop Virtualization, VDI Technologies, VMware Horizon View, MS APP-V, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops.
- Industry Certifications on Virtualization, Cloud and Containers
- Take part in solution preparation to deliver technical value and expertise to HPE’s large customer base, and/or contributing to the design of technical solutions for customer environments
- Work independently or across teams to establish and maintain excellent customer relationships
- Participate in a chosen technical community or profession to continuously expand your technical knowledge, business acumen, and professional network.
- Ability to interact with people (customer and internal HPE) at all levels and geographies.
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders and have an ability to drive the conversation/discussion.
- Work in collaboration with sales to develop pricing quote and SoW for in-pursuit deals
- As Solution Architect with the country Pursuit Team, develop end-to-end solutions for managed services delivery to exempted customers.
- Possess technical writing skills to publish required documents.
- Identify and contribute to projects to improve services, customer satisfaction, profitability, and team efficiency.
- Possess a strong customer focus with the ability to manage escalations and balancing the needs of the customer & the HPE teams (Sales/ Pursuit/ Delivery)
What you need to bring:
Education and Experience Required:
- Educational Qualification – Bachelor/Master’s degree in STEM or equivalent experience.
- 15+ years of experience in service, consulting, delivering, and managed services delivery on Industry Standard Servers with Non-MS OS, Storage, Networking, and Security experience
- 5-7 years of experience in Consultancy, Architecting, Design, Deployment of Desktop Imaging, Desktop Virtualization, VDI Technologies, VMware Horizon View, MS APP-V, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops
- Industry Certifications on Virtualization, Cloud, Containers, automation (Iaac), HPC/AI/ML etc
- Have broader understanding of the above mentioned essential skills and SME skills in at least two technology areas/ platform.
- Good knowledge on Capacity Planners.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Demonstrable technical expertise in Designing, Architecting & Deploying Hybrid Cloud (AWS/ Azure/ GCP), Containers/ Kubernetes, automation (Iaac), HPC/AI/ML skills, Virtualization Solutions such as VMware, Hyper-V, and Citrix etc. along with other emerging technologies.
- Develop architectural design document based on existing sample or new requirement.
- Experience in responding to RFPs and provide Solutions
- Experience Designing HLD and LLD.
- Experience with large implementations.
- Experience with migrating solutions.
- Broad technical knowledge on different technologies within Windows, Unix, Linux, VMware, and Hyper-V
- Hyper converged infrastructure (Nutanix) knowledge
- Must have hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge of SDDC, vSAN, SAN / NAS storage protocols such ISCSI, NFS & FC.
- Good knowledge on at least two Core technology platforms like Compute, Storage, and Networking & Security.
- Deep knowledge in different phases of projects such as discovery, planning, design, migration execution and decommission
- Technical knowledge and experience on Infrastructure monitoring tools.
- Knowledge of remote deployment programs and monitoring processes and concepts.
- ITIL Certification/Awareness

- Deep knowledge on at least one emerging technology like Containers, automation (Iaac), HPC/AI/ML skills etc.
- Demonstrate an in depth understanding of several products in more than one functional area involving usage, configuration, and interaction with other products.
- Affinity with Monitoring tools and processes (Nagios, SolarWinds, OpenView)
- Ability to recognize risks and advise appropriate company resource for mitigation.
