What you will do:



  • This role will primarily focus on creating high quality UI designs mock-ups and visual assets for interactive products in the surgical operating room.
  • Translate product requirements and user flows into intuitive, aesthetically appealing interfaces across both physical and digital touchpoints.
  • Develop concepts and rapid prototypes for the purposes of better understanding the product needs, testing hypotheses and the establishment of product requirements.
  • Partner and communicate with technical SW development engineers throughout development to launch.
  • Evaluate and test the functional implementation of the design and provide feedback to development engineers.
  • Participate in design reviews, communicate design concepts to key stakeholders, contribute to roadmap planning, and sprint planning.
  • Be an organizational advocate for Design, design process and design thinking

What you need:



Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor’s Degree Interaction Design (IxD), User Experience (UX) Design, User Interface (UI) Design, or related discipline.
  • 3+ years of professional experience
  • A portfolio that demonstrates competency in, UX/ UI methodologies, and experience from concept through to commercialized product execution.
  • Proficient in Figma.
  • Demonstrated experience of working with software development process.
  • Demonstrated experience in collaborating with marketing teams, software engineers and other development team members.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as reading comprehension

Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience in a healthcare, medical product development environment or experience in a regulated environment.
  • Familiarity with iterative processes like Agile Scrum and the tools and strategies that make those processes successful.
  • Knowledge of and experience with accessibility and usability standards for contrast, readability and interactive components.
  • Competency with other design tools such as Protopie, Adobe Creative Suite, Axure, Zeplin, Balsamiq etc.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, front-end scripting languages
