AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services
Amazon Web Services has an opening for a Site Training Program Manager who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and has a strong training and development background. As a Training PM at the Seattle site, you will be responsible for implementing and managing high quality learning and knowledge development programs for technical and non-technical skills and content in AWS Managed Services. This role focuses on the operations and management of learning, development, and accreditation programs and providing assistance with curriculum development. You will play a significant role in developing the knowledge and skills of a successful and effective managed services team to drive growth and adoption of AWS Managed Services.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate effectively with AMS Operations teams, subject matter experts (SMEs) and others on the AMS team to support department knowledge and learning programs and initiatives
Manage New Hire Onboarding, Continuing Education, and other learning and accreditation programs (i.e. LMS registration, scheduling, logistics, granting system permissions, etc.)
Implement, manage and drive training and knowledge/skill development programs
Apply adult learning principles to help design and assist in developing training and knowledge content that best fits the needs of the audience and content (online, classroom, or blended learning methods).
Assist with designing and developing exercises, tutorials, job aids, and assessments.
Monitor assessment, survey, and operational data to perform ongoing needs analysis to ensure program success.
Measure the impact and effectiveness of learning programs to drive key business metrics

- Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, technology, or related learning field experience.
- Four or more years of experience in a curriculum development/learning program management role.
- Five or more years of experience managing training logistics for technical/IT related positions.
- Five or more years of experience using e-learning software (Articulate, Camtasia, Captivate, or similar), Learning Management Systems (LMS), virtual instructor-led training tools, and social learning tools.
- Excellent project/program management and organization skills.
- Experience managing training for customer facing, managed service organizations.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with both technical audiences and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to manage ambiguous projects, identify and solve blockers, and know when to escalate to keep the project moving forward.
- Knowledge and/or hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure services.
