JOB DESCRIPTION:
1. Job Objectives (Summary of overall job purpose)
Preparation Piping layout drawings, Piping Isometric & spool drawings, Detail support drawings, nesting drawings in AutoCAD and Creating Piping & support material list, in line with project and yard requirements. Follow company standards for AutoCAD drafting.

Key Responsibilities Policies, Processes & Procedures:
Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
Follow and comply to information Security Rules and data security measures in order to protect the company information / intellectual properties.
Day- to-day operations:
Preparation of drawings as per guidance taken from responsible engineer.
Producing production fabrication and installation drawings.
Preparation of bill of materials, material top-ups requirements.
Carry out duties assigned by superior for day-to-day operations and to ensure them to comply with the established standards and procedures
Prepare project deliverables for Piping Engineering, assuring that they are mistake free and in line with project standards, yard Piping standard, and drafting standards.
Follow the day-to-day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of work.
Safety, Quality & Environment:
Comply with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
Related Assignments:
Perform other related duties or assignments as directed.
3. Key Competencies Language skills:
Fluent in English Language (read, write and speak)
Good technical competency and ability to generate reports
Technical competencies:
Should be competent in both manual drawing skills as wells as computer based application, such as automated computer assisted drafting (AutoCAD)
Conceptualization skills to visualize finished drawings and assigned projects
Basic knowledge of Piping layout drawings, Piping isometric / spool drawings, Piping Support drawings/standards and MTO preparation.
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks within assigned project and to meet required deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize and successfully execute tasks in accordance with departmental / project objectives

6. Minimum Qualifications Essential
Desirable (not mandatory)
Education
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Training
- Proficient with software such as AutoCAD, Navisworks, PDF, Microsoft office packages.
- Experience in any 3D modelling software.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years relevant experience with AutoCAD
- Professional Certificate in AutoCAD from a reputable institution
- Basic knowledge of Piping components & Standards
- Working experience in shipyard / oil & gas industry.
7. additional information: Working conditions:
Site visits required as deemed necessary and able to work in the Middle East summer weather conditions.
Upon successful performance demonstrated on actual projects during a minimum 12 months period, the candidate will be considered for promotion to Designer position.
