Whether partnering with IATA on industry-wide initiatives or enabling digital transformation to simplify airline processes, Accelya drives the airline industry forward and proudly puts control back in the hands of airlines so they can move further, faster.

Specialist – Software Development (Integration Focus) (Pune)

Location: Pune, India

Reporting to: Senior Manager – Software Development, FLX ONE Cargo

Architectural Alignment: Principal Architect – FLX ONE Cargo

Role Context

As a Specialist – Integration Focus, you are a senior hands-on engineer responsible for complex system integrations and coexistence patterns across FLX ONE Cargo and existing Cargo solutions.

This role is critical to enabling incremental adoption and safe migration by ensuring Cargo services can interoperate with legacy platforms, airline systems, and external partners without operational disruption.

You will focus on integration correctness, reliability, and backward compatibility, working closely with architects and delivery teams.

What You’ll Own

Integration Architecture & Execution

  • Design and implement integration services, adapters, and facades between FLX ONE Cargo and existing Cargo systems.

  • Build API-based, event-driven, and message-based integrations with airline and partner platforms.

  • Ensure integration contracts are versioned, stable, and backward-compatible.

Migration & Coexistence Enablement

  • Implement coexistence patterns such as strangler facades, parallel-run pipelines, and event replication.

  • Support phased rollout and cutover strategies with strong observability and rollback mechanisms.

  • Minimise operational risk during transition from legacy Cargo solutions.

Hands-On Engineering

  • Write and maintain production-grade integration code and shared services.

  • Debug complex cross-system issues involving data consistency, latency, and failure handling.

  • Support incident analysis and resolution for integration-related issues.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Principal Architect to refine migration and coexistence patterns.

  • Partner with delivery teams to onboard services onto standard integration mechanisms.

  • Provide integration guidance and best practices across teams.

What You Must Bring

  • 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.

  • Strong background in integration-heavy systems and distributed architectures.

  • Experience building APIs, asynchronous messaging, and event-driven systems.

  • Solid cloud-native experience on AWS or equivalent platforms.

  • Strong debugging skills across multi-system workflows.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with legacy-modern migration programs.

  • Familiarity with airline, cargo, logistics, or finance systems.

  • Exposure to message brokers, streaming platforms, or workflow orchestration.

Why This Role Matters

This role ensures FLX ONE Cargo can be adopted without disruption, enabling airlines to transition safely while maintaining operational continuity.
