The Construction Manager will be responsible for the overall planning, execution, supervision, and coordination of all civil, mechanical, and electrical construction activities of the Pumped Storage Project. The role ensures that project milestones are achieved safely, within schedule, budget, and quality standards. The CM leads multiple work fronts such as open works, underground works, dam structures, waterways, powerhouse, and balance-of-plant activities.
1. Lead and supervise execution of all construction activities: dams, intake/outlet, reservoir works, powerhouse, penstock, access roads, tunnels (if applicable), switchyard, and associated structures.
2. Prepare and monitor construction schedules, resource plans, method statements, and work sequences.
3. Coordinate with engineering, design, survey, and QA/QC teams to ensure construction follows approved drawings and specifications.
4. Oversee open excavation, concreting, structural works, embankment works, portal excavation, and foundation preparations.
5. Manage contractors and subcontractors for manpower, machinery, and work progress.
6. Ensure all works comply with project specifications, QAPs, IRC/IS standards, and contractual quality requirements.
7. Enforce strict adherence to HSE management plans, risk assessments, and safety protocols.
8. Liaise with Client, Consultant, Design Teams, government authorities, and third-party auditors.
9. Prepare and review Daily/Weekly/Monthly Progress Reports.
10. Monitor project budgets, material consumption, wastage control, and productivity.
