Key role responsibilities



  • Join a passionate new product development team that is focused on innovation and development of Refrigeration and Air conditioning products.
  • Work closely with designers, and mechanical, electrical, and firmware engineers to develop a refined product, that meets customer specifications and aligned with product regulatory requirements.
  • Work with multi-functional teams to help launch products by taking market specifications through stage-gate processes from concept to development to deployment.
  • Collaborate with product management, manufacturing, and quality personnel to launch new air conditioning, chiller, heat exchanger, and filter fan products.
  • Perform research and development of vapor-compression technology systems.
  • Perform calculations, analyses, and simulations to validate designs, specifications, and predict product performance using VapCyc and CoilDesigner or similar tools.
  • Plan and direct test activities to qualify and validate products to internal, industry, and regulatory standards.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to early-career engineers.
  • Specify purchased part requirements and work with supply leaders to source parts for use in designs.
  • Drive innovation through research, development, and implementation of cutting-edge solutions.

qualifications and experience



  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience or higher in mechanical engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5+ years of experience in HVACR industry.
  • Proven experience in vapor-compression system design (fixed and variable speed), component selection, and system balancing.
  • Working knowledge of heat exchangers (Tube-Fin, Microchannel, Plate), including liquid-to-air and liquid-to-liquid systems, and their selection methodology.
  • Working knowledge and Familiarity with UL, ASHRAE, AHRI, and other refrigeration/air-conditioning standards.
  • Hands-on experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD software for HVAC/refrigeration component and system modeling.
  • Experience with refrigeration system modeling, simulation, and testing is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated and strong presentation and verbal communication skills.
