The RoleAs a Structural Engineer with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc


Key Responsibilities


  • Perform structural analysis and design of Fixed Jacket Structures, Lifted Topsides, and Float‑Over Topsides, covering in‑service, pre‑service, and accidental load cases.
  • Develop structural models and review engineering calculations, reports, and drawings.
  • Participate in design optimization studies and propose practical engineering improvements.
  • Deliver structural engineering work packages within defined scope, budget, and schedule requirements.  
  • Coordinate design input with internal disciplines and drafting teams to ensure timely and quality deliverables.
  • Provide necessary clarifications and resolve technical issues during project execution.
  • Assist in developing design philosophies, analysis methodologies, and acceptance criteria.  
  • Support the review of concept, FEED, detailed design, and as‑built structural deliverables.
  • Interface with EPC contractors, clients, installation contractors, and Marine Warranty Surveyors as required.  
  • Participate in technical discussions, interdisciplinary reviews, and model review sessions.
  • Support preparation of RFQs and review vendor documents for steel plates, hot‑rolled sections, tubulars, LMUs, grout seals, anodes, and related items.
  • Provide limited guidance to junior engineers and check basic work prepared by designers and analysts. 
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing and promote best practices within the engineering team.

About You To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • 8–14 years of relevant experience in offshore structural engineering.
  • Experience in analysis and design of Fixed Template Structures, FPSO modules, and offshore renewable structures (wind, hydrogen, CCS).  
  • Good exposure to FEED/EPC project environments.
  • Understanding of offshore geotechnical considerations and subsea structure interaction.  
  • Familiarity with steel material grades, testing requirements, and fabrication specifications.
  • Technical Skills 
    • Working knowledge of jacket launch/lift analysis and topside float‑over/lift operations.
    • Good understanding of weight control principles for offshore structures.
    • Familiarity with international design codes including ISO 19901, ISO 19902, AISC‑360, API (WSD & LRFD), DNV.
    • Hands‑on experience with tools such as SACS, SESAM, USFOS, ANSYS, ABAQUS, STAAD.
  • Soft Skills
    • Strong communication skills for coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders.
    • Ability to work independently under supervision of senior engineers with sound engineering judgment.
    • Proactive attitude toward learning, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
