Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain supply plans based on demand forecasts, sales trends and business requirements.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels (finished goods, safety stock, buffer stock, etc.) — ensuring adequate stock to meet demand without overstocking.

  • Conduct regular inventory audits and reconciliation to maintain stock accuracy and data integrity (ERP/MRP system or internal systems).
  • Generate and present supply-chain / inventory reports and KPIs (stock-outs, inventory turnover, forecast vs actual, supply-performance, service levels) to senior management.
  • Identify supply-chain risks (e.g. stock-outs, supplier delays, over-stocking) and implement mitigation / corrective actions proactively.
  • Support order fulfilment, distribution planning, and coordinate with logistics / warehouse / distribution teams to ensure on-time delivery to customers/retailers.
  • Continuously analyse supply-chain processes and suggest improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize inventory management.

Qualifications / Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, or related field.
  • 2–5 years (or relevant) experience in supply planning, inventory management, or supply chain operations — preferably in FMCG / consumer goods/manufacturing / distribution setting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to forecast demand, interpret data and trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills — able to coordinate with multiple internal teams (sales, procurement, operations, logistics) and external stakeholders (suppliers, warehouses, distributors).
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.); familiarity with ERP / MRP / supply-chain software or systems is a plus.
  • Organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities, meet deadlines.
  • Basic understanding of inventory metrics / KPIs (stock-out rate, inventory turnover, safety stock, lead times, service levels).
  • Proactive mindset — identifying potential issues early and recommending corrective actions; continuous improvement orientation.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Inventory turnover / Days of Inventory
  • Stock-out rate / Service level (OTIF – On Time In Full)
  • Inventory carrying costs / cost of excess inventory

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a self-driven, organised professional with strong analytical skills and a collaborative mindset. They are comfortable working in a

dynamic environment with fluctuating demand; able to interact with multiple stakeholders; adept at data-driven decision-making; and focused on balancing supply reliability with cost-efficiency.
