The Systems Specialist position reports to the Director Engineering and is part of the Cytiva India R&D organization located in Bangalore and will be an on-site role. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.


What you will do:


  • Work on software design and development for life cycle management projects in the automation field for the Cytiva Flex factory and standalone systems.


  • Work on the Automation Software Design, which will include Developing innovative design solutions to meet all requirements for function, performance, regulatory needs, reliability, and serviceability on these Flex factories and standalone systems automation-HMI, PLC software development, and Control Automation H/W interfaces.


  • Industrial automation software systems consist of Distributed Control Systems (DCS) Emerson Delta-V control software.


  • Work on the Life cycle management projects, mainly on change management, i.e., Engineering Change Requests (ECR) and Engineering Change Orders (ECO) through numerous software releases.


  • Hands-on continuous work on software verification and validation and defect management. Work on the Design documentation required for these software releases, GAMP assessment, etc.


What you will do:


  • BE in Electronics/Instrumentation and Controls Engineering. At least 6-8 years of industrial experience in Industrial automation and control software life cycle management.


  • Proven expertise in Automation SW development- Programming & troubleshooting of DeltaV DCS systems, Batch ISA S88 Standard-Design, Configuration, Testing, Design and configuration of Control Modules, Equipment Modules, Phases and Recipes, Automation network protocols like Profibus, Modbus, Ethernet IP, OPC, etc.


  • Experience working with Engineering Change Orders (ECO) & Engineering Change Requests (ECR). Complete knowledge of PLM, such as MAGIC or Equivalent. Working experience in software verification and testing, defect handling, and tracking in ALM/Azure systems.


  • Experience in authoring and reviewing standard operating procedures, Technical/Evaluation reports, and other controlled documents.


  • Experience in design documentation to comply with ISO and European standards. Exposure to global quality & regulatory standards.


  • Exposure to selection and troubleshooting of Automation H/W components like PLC controllers, Power supplies, I/O devices, Understanding of P&ID diagrams, schematics, etc.


  • Exposure to government-regulated industries standards and practices (GMP, GAMP).
