Our Indian Operations Centre (INOPC) is a competence center with around 2600+ skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, functional system testing, installation supervision, and commissioning. Over the last decade, INOPC has evolved to become the largest engineering hub serving more than 40 countries across different energy sectors. The team caters to the four business units—Transformers, Grid Integration, Grid Automation, High Voltage and has successfully executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries.
Mission Statement:
As a FST Team Manager for HVDC Control & Protection Engineering, you will join an aspiring team that works with the HVDC Power transmission links. It is a diverse and line function job to drive the project groups, with lots of responsibility and you will have great opportunities to develop your skills within HVDC. Our department is responsible for delivering Control & Protection project of HVDC System. The key responsibilities include FST execution, resource managing & staffing planning, FST project coordination, people retention & competence development. Assets material managing and procurement, Inward & outward logistics coordination, Quality & HSE compliance, Audit & process development, internal & external stakeholder coordination to ensure the project delivery completion.
Your responsibilities:
Responsible for onboarding new staff to meet HVDC business demands and targeted headcount.
Competency development plans and mentorship pairing of the individual employees within the team.
Ensure and focus on safety, integrity on time delivery, quality and process improvement.
Implements and improves relevant processes, policies and procedures to improve effectiveness across the department.
Execute the factory system test as per the project timeline.
Ensure KPI of the department (e.g. on time delivery, FPY, productivity)
Run routine review & follow-up with the project team and other cross-functional teams, supplier, and customers.
Ensure the test plan and testing procedure and process in place.
Ensure the asset material availability and initiate the procurement based future project forecast.
Analyzing the risk and opportunities towards the project delivery.
Coordinate the customers visit with project team and facilitate appropriate information.
Coordinate the project close out to ensure the facility ready to occupy for the next project slot.
Training and developments of lab technicians.
Ensure the teams are trained in the process and safety norms.
Developing instructions and guidelines for test area management

Your background:
Have bachelor’s degree in electrical & Electronics Engineering or Equivalent with a minimum work experience of 10 -14+ years in Lab Team manager or Project lead or Site commissioning lead.
Strong experience in factory/Lab execution.
Exposure to Project Engineering, Planning, Cross Functional Working, Virtual Team Working.
You must have knowledge in AC Control & Protection relay product knowledge, testing protocols, test instruments & handling method
You should have knowledge in Project Management skills (cost, scope, time, quality).
Good knowledge of Office tools like word, excel, ppt
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
