In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.
As a Technical Architect for the AWS Platform, you will design and architect AWS-based solutions that align with specific business requirements, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. You will possess deep proficiency in AWS services, including EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, and Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), along with expertise in Linux and VMware. Your primary responsibilities will include: * Design and Implement AWS Solutions: Design and architect AWS-based solutions that meet business requirements, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. This includes setting up and configuring AWS EC2 instances, storage solutions, networking, and databases to support various business applications. * Deploy and Manage AWS Resources: Deploy and manage essential AWS resources such as Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), Elastic Load Balancers (ELBs), and Application Load Balancers (ALBs) to ensure smooth operations. * Ensure Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce security measures to ensure AWS resources comply with organizational policies and industry regulations. * Optimize AWS Costs: Optimize AWS costs by right-sizing resources, developing cost-effective solutions, and monitoring usage patterns. * Collaborate with Development Teams: Work closely with development teams to ensure the successful deployment and integration of AWS-based solutions.
* Experience with AWS Services: Deep proficiency in AWS services, including EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, and Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), along with expertise in Linux and VMware. * Cloud Migration and Deployment: Experience with cloud migration projects, including assessment, design, and execution, as well as deploying and managing essential AWS resources such as Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), Elastic Load Balancers (ELBs), and Application Load Balancers (ALBs). * Container Orchestration: Proficiency in setting up and managing Kubernetes clusters through Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), enabling container orchestration and scaling as part of the platform's capabilities. * Automation Tools: Experience with automation tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform, and DevOps practices such as continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD). * Security and Compliance: Experience implementing and enforcing security measures to ensure AWS resources comply with organizational policies and industry regulations.
