Position Summary

Network Security Engineer, Technologist II,will be responsible to develop, maintain and secure company’s network. The individual must be qualified at all levels of IP networks and responsible in securing and providing operational and project support to our business units to secure data, voice, wireless networks. This position also involves monitoring, creating and implementing network security measures to ensure integrity of the infrastrusture. This position is based in Chandigarh, India.



Duties And Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL



  • Assist network operations center with investigations where warnings / threshold breach is observed
  • Designing, deployment and management of network security solutions with PaloAlto firewalls
  • To configure, manage and troubleshoot Palo Alto firewalls with other network security systems ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Design, deploys and manages SASE solution and implementing Zero Touch Architecture.
  • Manage cloud-based networks including virtual networks, subnets and firewalls.
  • Work closely with cloud team to ensure seamless connectivity of cloud applications and data.
  • Monitor, analyse and work towards service improvement initiatives focused on availability, latency and security.
  • Documents, tracks and monitors problems to ensure a timely resolution of all assigned tickets.
  • Participate in on call rotation to provide network support to oceaneering global businesses.
  • Responsible for providing project support and evaluating new technologies.
  • Identify and correct workflows and processes to improve network reliability and/or resolution times.
  • Create high-level design (hld) and low-level design (lld) documents, network diagrams,security policies, policy flows, and operational runbooks.
  • Assist NOC in 24/7 monitoring of the network, servers and security systems.
  • Work with trouble tickets, support teams to secure and restore the network.
  • Assist in root causeanalysis of network and security operation issues.
  • Any other tasks as directed by line manager.

Qualifications

REQUIRED



  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Electronics, Computer Science, or equivalent education
  • Total work experience of 7-10 years in network security domain.
  • Must have an expert understanding of the TCP/IP network protocol.
  • Must have handson experience on Panorma and Palo Alto firewalls and be familiar with Zero Trust principles
  • Must have experience of configuring Palo Alto firewall in various deployment modes.
  • Experience with VPNs, ZTNA and SASE platforms.
  • Strong understanding of Zero Trust architecture, network segmentation and endpoint access control.
  • Familarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS and GCP is highly valued.
  • Strong understading of cloud networking technologies.
  • Knowledge of DMVPN, IPSEC, SSL VPNs.
  • Knowledge of routing and switching technologies.
  • Knowledge of EIGRP and BGP routing protocols.

DESIRED



  • PCNSE, PCNSA, CCNP Security and Azure certifications preferred
  • Good communication skills
  • Fluent in English with excellent communication skills
  • Able to work independently
