Who we are looking for


We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Technology Audit Officer to join our global technology audit team. To succeed in this role, you need to have a deep understanding of technologies, technology processes and controls, industry standards and related risks for a global organization. You should also have strong knowledge of industry frameworks including COBIT and NIST CSF. You will be responsible for working closely with peers on a diverse global team to perform technology infrastructure, security, and horizontal audits. Collaboration with State Street’s technology organization is essential. In this role you will join a team that is focused on building leading practices, and you will have a functional reporting line to a Vice President of Technology Audit. This role is located in Bangalore, India.


Due to the role requirements this job needs to be performed primarily in the office with some flex work opportunities available.

What you will be responsible for


As an Officer, Technology Audit you will


  • Execute the assessments and testing phases of technology audits and technology risk-focused validation activities.


  • Work as part of an international team, collaborating closely with global peers.


  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of technology risks and changes in the regulatory environment.


  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, including the Global Technology Services organization.


  • Communicate audit progress and findings effectively to senior management.


  • Prepare audit work papers to ensure compliance with the division’s audit methodology.

  • Experience in executing audit projects, preferably within the global financial services industry.


  • Proficiency in evaluating technology risks and testing internal controls while applying risk based testing approaches.


  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, working independently and developing relationships with global stakeholders in a fast paced environment.


  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership ability across all levels coupled with effective problem solving, conceptual thinking, quantitative and analytical skills.


  • Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and technical writing skills.


  • Advanced project management skills.


  • Fluency in English - written and spoken.


Education & Preferred Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field preferred.


  • 3+ years of experience auditing information technologies, security or cyber risk management.


  • Audit or assurance experience working in the banking or financial services industry or other regulated industries.


  • Experience in evaluating technology risks and the ability to develop and execute effective audit testing strategies with a good understanding of regulatory compliance requirements for the banking industry.


  • Developing knowledge of technology risk management, including the latest trends, tools and techniques.


  • Developing knowledge in evaluating various horizontal IT and infrastructure technologies and platforms including networks, middleware, operating systems, change management, SDLC, cloud technologies and the ability to develop and implement effective audit coverage strategies.


  • Relevant certifications, such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, or CIA are highly preferred.
