Transportation Logistics Coordinator (Mid-Level)
Key Responsibilities:
Shipment Scheduling – Inbound and Direct Ship: using the Transportation
Management System (TMS), coordinate shipments from brand partners and
customers into our warehouses and directly into Amazon. Ensure timely
communication and execution for both pickup and delivery.
Inbound Delivery Appointments: Monitor inbound delivery appointment
schedule via cloud based application. Respond to escalations from shippers and
carriers regarding delivery appointment timing and availability.
Transportation Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret transportation
data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost savings or service
enhancements. Present insights and recommendations to the team and
leadership as appropriate.
Process Improvement: Proactively identify, lead, and implement process
improvement initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional teams, driving
greater operational efficiency, scalability, and service quality in transportation
functions.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or a
related field.
3+ years of hands-on industry experience in transportation or
logistics—specifically with freight invoice auditing, shipment management,
and outbound operations.
Experience using Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and
experience managing shipments with large carriers (Amazon experience
preferred).
Demonstrated history of leading or significantly contributing to process
improvement efforts.
Key Skills:
Advanced proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets; experience with
analytics, reporting platforms, or databases is strongly preferred.
Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with a
strong attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective work with
internal teams, external partners, and carriers.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly in a dynamic
environment.
Initiative and independence in driving projects and improvements, as well
as the ability to mentor or support junior staff when needed.
