Videographer Editor
Job Purpose
We are seeking a skilled Videographer Editor to join our team. As a Videographer Editor,
you will play a crucial role in capturing, directing, and editing video footage to create high-quality content, including campus events, student features, and faculty videos, for various platforms. The ideal candidate will excel in understanding stakeholders' briefs,
storyboarding, executing shoots, and refining footage to meet project objectives and deadlines.
Principal Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to execute creative direction from conceptualization to
final production.
- Utilize Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects for video editing and design tasks, including sound synchronization, audioenhancement, titling, color correction, green screen keying, and basic 2D animations.
- Compile recorded raw material intopolished final products for social media.
- Adhere to best practices for photography and video recording, including audio management, lighting techniques, and equipment setup.
- Capture high-quality photo and videocontent using professional-grade equipment.
- Proficiency in screen capturesoftware and technologies.
- Manage media format transitions and creation.
- Archive and organize video footage and related files.
Key Skill and Ability Requirements
- Proficientin video production, editing, and colorgrading.
- Proficient in motion graphics and graphic design.
- Expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects,and Photoshop.
- Strong photography skills.
- Experience with video equipment and cameras.
- Excellentcommunication skills, bothverbal and written.
- Proactive learner capable of workingindependently.
- Exceptionalattention to detailand ability to meet tightdeadlines.
- Familiarity withMicrosoft Word, Excel,and Power Point.
Qualification and Personal Profile
- Bachelor's degreeor 3 years full time Diploma in Film Studies, Video Editing, VideoProduction, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of proven experience in videography with a robust portfolio showcasing diverse video projects is a must.
- Extensive knowledge of video shooting and editing techniques.
- Knowledgeand experience in After Effectsin a must.
- Proficiency in video editingsoftware such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or
Equivalent Experience in soundrecording and editing.
- Familiarity with special effects, 3D, and compositing is advantageous.
- Background in creating educational content is highly desirable.
