Job Description

Job Summary


The Credit Manager is responsible for managing the company’s credit risk by establishing credit limits, monitoring receivables, ensuring timely collections, and maintaining healthy cash flow. The role involves evaluating customer creditworthiness, enforcing credit policies, and coordinating with sales and operations to minimize bad debts.


Key Responsibilities


  • Establish, implement, and monitor credit policies and procedures


  • Review and approve credit applications and set appropriate credit limits


  • Monitor accounts receivable and ensure timely collection of outstanding balances


  • Follow up on overdue accounts and coordinate with sales and legal teams when necessary


  • Prepare aging reports and credit risk analysis for management review


  • Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations


  • Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing disputes


  • Maintain accurate records of credit approvals, guarantees, and agreements


  • Coordinate with finance and operations to ensure accurate invoicing


  • Minimize bad debts and write-offs through proactive credit control


  • Assist in month-end and year-end financial closing processes



Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field


  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in credit control or accounts receivable


  • Hospitality experience is an advantage


  • Strong knowledge of financial statements and credit analysis


  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills


  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities


  • Proficient in accounting software and MS Excel
