PROGRAM SUMMARY:
The Diplomatic Platform Support Services (DiPSS) works in support of the Department of State to provide medical support services. The primary scope of this program is to execute medical support services at the United States Embassy and adjacent facilities in the Middle East.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The IT Customer Support Analyst work under direct supervision, performing routine assignments as an entry level professional; developing core job competencies with existing procedures by solving standard problems. IT Customer Support Analyst collects and analyzes customer data and then works to develop resolutions for issues. Job duties include communicating with customers through phone and email, executing research strategies to improve productivity and customer satisfaction, and promptly following up with customer requests as well as perform user administrative responsibilities efficiently. In this job, you use surveys, reports, and other techniques to troubleshoot issues, and you may train new employees. This career requires IT experience, customer service and communication skills
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the administration of one or more of the following data systems:
- Computer systems hardware, software, information systems & peripheral equipment such as servers, desktops, printers and storage devices.
- Maintains, installs, upgrades and configures data systems, administers operating systems, and maintains basic security and recovery procedures such as scheduling and backups.
- Assists in operating, maintaining, and modifying systems or programs.
- Working knowledge with database utilization and creation (Access/SQL/HTML).
- Expert knowledge in Excel
- Develops operational instructions and procedures.
- Analyzes computer system operating records to identify problem areas and corrective actions.
- Process system access requests forms for multiple systems
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Requires an undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
- Specific contract requirements will prevail.
- Must be medically fit and willing to travel CONUS and OCONUS
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
- Must possess passport book (not passport card) with at least 13 months of remaining validity AND 6 blank visa/stamp pages remaining
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English fluently
- Candidates must also meet CENTCOM MOD (Fit for Duty) theater requirements.
- Must currently possess or be able to obtain prior to being hired as is required for this position a U.S. Government (USG) issued Secret security clearance and/or a favorable USG Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT). Must maintain eligibility at the required clearance or certification level for the duration of the task order.
