Job Description – Proposal Engineer / RE Application Engineer (Retrofit Background)
Location: Basra, Iraq
Department: Engineering / Proposals
Requirement : Rotating equipment, retrofit/upgrades, proposals & bids, vendor coordination, datasheets/specs, FEED review, API/ISO standards, MS Office.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Proposal Engineer / Application Engineer with a strong retrofit background to join our team in Basra. The role involves preparing technical and commercial proposals, supporting retrofit projects, and working closely with clients and internal teams to deliver energy solutions that meet customer requirements.
Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Energy Engineering (or related field).
• 5+ years of experience in proposal engineering, application engineering, or retrofit projects within the energy sector.
• Strong knowledge of retrofit solutions, energy efficiency, and power systems.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and engineering design tools.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
