Restaurant Captain

We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Restaurant Captain to join our team in Baghdad, Iraq. As a Restaurant Captain, you will play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional dining experiences for our guests while leading and supporting our service staff.

• Oversee and coordinate all aspects of dining room operations
• Lead, train, and motivate the service team to maintain high standards of customer service
• Greet and seat guests, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere
• Manage reservations and handle special requests or complaints professionally
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food service
• Conduct pre-shift briefings and assign duties to team members
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness and presentation of the dining area
• Assist in menu planning and wine list development
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and restaurant policies
• Handle cash and credit transactions accurately
• Prepare reports on sales, customer feedback, and staff performance

• 3-5 years of experience in fine dining or upscale restaurants
• Previous experience as a captain or in a similar leadership role
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong leadership and team management abilities
• Proficiency in restaurant management software
• In-depth knowledge of food and beverage service standards
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations and solve problems efficiently
