The Senior Linux Systems Administrator is responsible for the maintenance and administration of Linux environments.
as well as providing leadership in transitioning technical operations from traditional administration and deployment management to infrastructure as code leveraging automation/configuration management technologies.
Job Duties Perform various levels of support for Linux systems.
Develop, write and demonstrate procedural operations to build continuity in the systems.
Apply patches and updates on various systems.
Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
Contact vendors and support providers through ticket systems, email or phone to solve issues and bugs.
Create custom scripts to automate various tasks and workflows using (Python, Bash, Ansible, Gitlab CI).
Preform advanced troubleshooting on complex Linux systems.
Create monitoring scripts to enable more accurate alerting.
Respond to system alerts and developer requests.
Perform timely resolution of trouble ticket queue.
Day-to-day operations of Linux systems including, but not limited to: Patch Linux servers, DNS, NTP, LDAP, Hypervisors, Monitoring services, Storages, Web and proxy servers.
BSc. in Telecom Engineering or any related engineering field.
RHCSA is a Plus.
3-4 Years’ experience.
