Banquet Captain

Are you a hands-on leader with a passion for flawless event execution? We are looking for a Banquet Captain who will lead banquet service teams and ensure smooth, professional delivery of conferences, weddings, and special events in line with hotel standards.


A little taste of your day-to-day:
Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:


  • Supervising and coordinating banquet service operations during events and functions.
  • Briefing banquet associates on event details, service flow, and guest expectations.
  • Ensuring proper setup of banquet halls, meeting rooms, and function areas as per event orders (BEOs).
  • Delivering high standards of food and beverage service throughout events.
  • Acting as the main point of contact during events to address guest requests and resolve issues promptly.
  • Coordinating closely with Culinary, Sales, Events, and Stewarding teams for seamless execution.
  • Monitoring service quality, cleanliness, and presentation standards.
  • Supporting manpower planning, duty allocation, and on-the-job training of banquet staff.
  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
  • Assisting in post-event breakdown and ensuring function areas are reset efficiently.

What we need from you:


  • Proven experience as a Banquet Captain or Senior Banquet Supervisor, preferably in a hotel or large-scale events environment.
  • Strong knowledge of banquet service standards, setups, and event operations.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to guide and motivate service teams.
  • Excellent communication and guest-handling skills.
  • Good command of English; Arabic language will be an advantage.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Well-groomed, professional appearance with a service-oriented mindset.
