responsible for planning, executing, and documenting the commissioning of electrical systems and equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operation. This role involves coordinating with project managers, contractors, vendors, and clients to perform testing, troubleshooting, and performance verification of electrical installations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Commissioning & Testing

  • Perform pre‑commissioning, commissioning, and start‑up activities for electrical systems.
  • Conduct functional testing, continuity testing, insulation resistance tests, and performance verification.
  • Commission switchgear, transformers, MCCs, protection relays, UPS systems, generators, VFDs, and other electrical assets.
  • Validate compliance with design specifications, drawings, and relevant standards.

2. Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare commissioning procedures, test plans, and method statements.
  • Document test results, deviations, punch lists, and final commissioning reports.
  • Maintain accurate records of all commissioning activities and equipment configurations.

3. Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure all commissioning work complies with safety policies, electrical codes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct risk assessments, toolbox talks, and ensure safe energization processes.
  • Support electrical safety practices such as LOTO, arc‑flash boundaries, and grounding procedures.

4. Technical Support & Troubleshooting

  • Diagnose and resolve electrical system faults during start-up and testing.
  • Coordinate with engineering, design, and construction teams to address technical issues.
  • Provide recommendations for corrective actions, improvements, and system optimization.

5. Coordination & Communication

  • Liaise with clients, contractors, vendors, and project teams to schedule and execute commissioning activities.
  • Participate in FAT (Factory Acceptance Tests) and SAT (Site Acceptance Tests).
  • Attend project meetings and provide technical updates.
