Configuration and Maintenance Program Engineer

Jazeera Airways is looking for a Configuration and Maintenance Program Engineer who would be responsible for continued airworthiness preventive maintenance review in accordance with Jazeera Maintenance Program & reliability data to assure fleet’s maximum safety and operating efficiency. The position will also control configurations of Jazeera existing and new aircrafts by performing engineering document reviews to ensure compliance of airworthiness directives/aviation regulation/maintenance program and reflected in Engineering Computer System.


Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Develops and formulates the airframe, engine, propeller, and component maintenance programs to ensure safety, reliability, and airworthiness in the most economical manner.
  • Reviews and proposes changes to the aircraft maintenance program based on manufacturer recommendations, reliability analysis, and in-service experience, before submitting to the applicable Aviation Authority through the SCM Department.
  • Optimizes the maintenance program based on fleet performance and task findings, identifying opportunities for increased task effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Monitors component tracking and interchangeability in the company’s system, ensuring compliance with approved manuals and coordinating with Technical Services.
  • Provides technical assistance to Fleet Management and Aircraft Records, including aircraft entry/exit processes.
  • Monitors and reviews AD/SB actions that Technical Services intends to implement, ensuring compliance and proper entry into the company’s system, and reporting embodiment to OEMs as applicable.
  • Manages current and historical data for AD/SB compliance based on aircraft configuration.
  • Defines, builds, and maintains the aircraft configuration tree in the company’s system for newly arrived aircraft and landing gears.
  • Monitors the aging aircraft Corrosion Prevention Control Program (CPCP) and Structural Sampling Inspection Program (SSSIP) to ensure safety and structural integrity.
  • Performs data entry for components (e.g., AIR, HT) for newly arrived aircraft.
  • Creates new part numbers and sub-assemblies in the system as needed.
  • Assists in providing Aircraft Configuration status reports, including AD and Modification status.
  • Provides technical support for OASES system functionality, addressing configuration concerns, troubleshooting, and offering practical training and guidance.
  • Maintains OASES history files for technical support and training archives.
  • Establishes and maintains OASES backup processes in collaboration with Business Units to mitigate issues during system downtime.
  • Reviews OASES system upgrade releases, validating applicability to Jazeera’s processes and coordinating with engineering teams to assess gaps and impacts on Business Units.
  • Leads OASES process assessments, revisions, and distribution.
  • Coordinates OASES interface issues with other systems (e.g., AIMS, SAP, Skywise, Conduce), ensuring issues are addressed and monitored by relevant Business Units or system proponents.
  • Actively participates in Jazeera’s SMS, ensuring compliance with safety and security laws and reporting accidents, incidents, and hazards.


Requirements and Qualifications:


  • Degree in Aeronautical/Mechanical Engineering field or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role.
  • Maintaining technical knowledge of aircraft type and operational procedures.
  • Knowledge of EASA Part M, EASA Part 145 and KUWAIT DGCA regulations.
  • Knowledge in Airline application-based ERP system (OASES, AMOS)
  • Ability to read and demonstrate knowledge from technical publications.
  • Advance knowledge of ERP system.

Ramp Manager

Jazeera Airways is looking for a Ramp Manager, based out of Kuwait, to ensure that all ramp handling activities are carried out safely, securely, on time according to the required Kuwait DGCA and Jazeera Airways’ standards as prescribed in the Company Ground Operations Manual. The role holder will also be responsible for managing the Lost and Found Department.


Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Ramp
    • Ensure safe, secure, on-time operations at the airside on all Jazeera flights departing from Kuwait
    • Assign and prioritise ramp operational tasks based on departure and arrival time
    • Enforce safety policies and procedures and ensure that all ramp activities comply with Kuwait DGCA, Jazeera Airways and Terminal policies and procedures.
    • Ensure SLAs are adhered to by the Ground Handler.
    • Ensure all cargo operations adhere to policies and standards whilst upholding safety and security.
  • Lost and Found
    • Ensure timely resolution of missing and damaged baggage claims.
    • Responsible for network wide quality and compliance in relation to MHB files, tracing and claims.
  • Ensure reports are generated for the management periodically.
  • Prepare monthly roster & leave plans, monitor daily attendance, conduct performance reviews for the Ramp and Lost & Found teams.
  • Provide coaching, training and support to the Ramp and Lost & Found teams.


Requirements and Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years as a Ramp Manager in a Commercial Airline or GHA.
  • Thorough knowledge of Ramp and Airside Operations.
  • Have general knowledge of Aircraft, Baggage, Cargo and Passengers handling practices and procedures in accordance with IATA rules and standards. Familiar with IATA Airport Services Committee in relation to procedures and standard for ground handling and cargo handling activities including policies for weight and balance, load control, cargo, baggage handling, aircraft handling methods, airside safety and safe operating practices.
  • Good English Communication Skills, conversational ability in Arabic will be preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Excellent Interpersonal Relationship Skills.


Commercial Manager – Levant

Commercial Manager - Levant, based out of Jordan, will be responsible to develop, plan and manage sales set-up & sales channels in Levant region. The role holder will manage the activities of the sales team to fulfil market obligations for travel trade, customer and corporate in the region and also promote the Jazeera Airways brand, product and services through the primary distribution channels.


Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Prepare the sales budgets/ goals for Levant region.
  • Develop and implement sales plans and market strategies to increase revenue and market share in Levant region.
  • Achieve the assigned revenue & sales targets.
  • Determine the growth opportunities to ensure an effective sales and market coverage.
  • Develop and implement sales procedures and policies in line with the industry best practices.
  • Develops, capitalizes on and maintains effective relationships with external parties of different nature such as travel agencies, GSAs, government departments, ministries, tourism companies, as well as individual agents and trade companies, to enhance business and grow sales.
  • Recognizes the unique needs of the assigned region versus JAZ products and services; evaluates flights and fares with Revenue Management (RM) Team, identifies new route opportunities and recommends the same RM with a proper business case.
  • Ensure the sales and revenue opportunities are maximized.
  • Translates input received from sales teams into recommendations to Regional Manager based on cost/benefit analysis.
  • Regularly visit travel agencies / Corporates to develop & maintain relationships.
  • Organize Road shows, workshop or joint airline event for the trade, trade presentations, and FAM trips in Levant region to ensure increased branding visibility.
  • Present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team.
  • Oversee and direct performance of the sales team.
  • Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing professional networks.


Requirements and Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Sales, Management.
  • Additional qualification in Aviation/IATA/Tourism is a plus.
  • Proficient in MS Office: Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Working Knowledge of Commercial Systems.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in Sales in a Commercial Airline having POS, in Levant Region.

Sales Manager - CAI & HBE, based out of Cairo, will be responsible to develop, plan and manage sales set up & Sales channels. The successful candidate must effectively manage the activities of the sales team to fulfil market obligations for travel trade, customer and corporate. (S)he must work on achieving the set goals & targets planned for assigned territory and must promote the Jazeera Airways brand, product and services through the primary distribution channels.

Regional Manager – GCC & Egypt will be responsible to achieve the Company’s commercial objectives by identifying new channels of business, building effective business relationships and enhancing brand visibility. The role holder will be accountable for revenue achievement and overall market share growth in GCC & Egypt. The successful candidate will be responsible to drive the overall sales and achieve targets of the company ensuring productivity is in line with set measures and company’s adopted policies and procedures.


Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Prepares the sales budget for GCC and Egypt region.
  • Drives business by leading the sales team in the assigned region to identify new opportunities, new travel agencies and markets to grow sales and revenue based on market needs and conditions measured to JAZ products and services.
