Duty Engineer

Are you technically skilled, proactive, and dependable in maintaining hotel operations? We are looking for a Duty Engineer who will ensure all engineering systems function efficiently and safely, supporting uninterrupted guest comfort and operational excellence.


A little taste of your day-to-day:
Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:


  • Attending to day-to-day engineering maintenance issues across guest rooms and public areas.
  • Responding promptly to guest maintenance requests and emergency calls.
  • Monitoring and maintaining electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and civil systems.
  • Conducting routine inspections and preventive maintenance as per schedules.
  • Ensuring proper operation of equipment such as chillers, AHUs, boilers, pumps, and generators.
  • Coordinating with other departments to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Maintaining logs, checklists, and records of maintenance work carried out.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety standards, statutory regulations, and hotel SOPs.
  • Supervising contractors and service providers during repair or maintenance works when required.
  • Supporting energy conservation initiatives and cost-control measures.

What we need from you:


  • Proven experience as a Duty Engineer or Engineering Technician, preferably in a hotel or large facility.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
  • Technical qualification or diploma in Engineering or a related trade.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues efficiently and work independently.
  • Good communication skills in English; Arabic language will be an advantage.
  • Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Strong sense of responsibility, safety awareness, and teamwork.
