Quality Control officer

We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Quality Control Officer to join our team in Al Kuwait, Kuwait. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our products, specifically in the chocolate, confectionery, bakery products, snack foods, and nutritional supplements sectors, meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance protocols and procedures to enhance product reliability and customer satisfaction. You will collaborate closely with various departments to identify areas for improvement and ensure that all operational processes adhere to established quality standards. Your expertise will contribute significantly to our continuous improvement initiatives, fostering a culture of quality throughout the organization. The candidate must have hands-on experience with chocolate, confectionery, bakery products, snack foods, and nutritional supplements or powder blending.

Responsibilities:

1. Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with established quality standards across all product lines, including chocolate, snacks, and bakery items.
2. Perform in-process quality checks to verify that products meet specifications and report any deviations immediately to the production team.
3. Ensure cleaning and sanitation procedures are followed, maintaining machinery and work areas in accordance with HACCP and GMP standards.
4. Accurately measure ingredients and handle raw materials and finished goods safely to prevent contamination and ensure product integrity.
5. Complete production logs and maintain accurate documentation of quality control activities and findings.
6. Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot quality issues and implement corrective actions as necessary.
7. Conduct regular inspections and audits of products and processes to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with quality standards.
8. Train and mentor staff on quality standards and best practices to promote a quality-focused culture within the organization.
9. Prepare detailed reports on quality performance and present findings to management for continuous improvement initiatives.
10. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in quality control methodologies specific to the food sector.

Preferred Candidate:

1. Proven experience in quality control or assurance within the chocolate, confectionery, bakery products, snack foods, or nutritional supplements industries.
2. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail to identify defects and inconsistencies in food products.
3. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey quality standards effectively to various teams.
4. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and foster positive relationships across departments.
5. Proficient in using quality management systems and statistical process control tools relevant to food production.
6. Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to quality improvement and compliance.
7. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced food production environment.
8. Relevant certifications in quality management (e.g., ISO 9001, HACCP) are a plus.
