Job Description:

Develop lesson plans and themes in line with curriculum objectives specific for teaching Physics, Chemistry  at Secondary School grade levels. Instruct through lectures, discussions, and demonstrations. Use computers, audiovisual aids, and other equipment and materials to supplement presentations. Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet the varying needs and interests of students. Facilitate learning by establishing a relationship with students and organizing learning resources and the classroom environment.



Meeting with parents or guardians, teachers, counselors and administrators to resolve any possible behavioural or academic problems. Attend professional development workshops and educational conferences in order to maintain and improve professional competence. Establish and enforce rules for class management and student behaviour. Prepare, administer, and grade tests and assignments to evaluate student progress




Required Qualifications:
  • Must have a Bachelor Degree in Science (Physics, Chemistry) from a recognized University in UK, CA, US, AU, NZ (due to visa restrictions)
  • A TEACHING QUALIFICATION FROM ONE OF THE FOLLOWING COUNTRIES: UK, US, CA, AU, NZ
  • Must have excellent English Communications skills and could pass an IELTS at a 6.5 level


Required Experience:
  • 2 years teaching experience at Secondary School grade levels in Physics and or Chemistry  subjects

Monthly Salary Range:

TAX FREE MONTHLY SALARY KD 700 - 1200 depending on qualifications and experience



Housing:
  • Furnished 1 -2 bedroom apartment depending on family size OR Housing Allowance of KD 125 monthly (rent if not expensive in Kuwait
  • Utilities paid by school in school provided accommodation
  • Transportation provided to school from school accommodation

Health Insurance Coverage:

Government Health coverage for employee only (Medical insurance is not expensive in Kuwait)



Annual Air Tickets:

Annual Return Air fare to home country for employee only



Leave:

Annual Leave, generally from the 3rd week of June till end of August plus any National Holidays during the year



Dependant School Fees:

50% discount for up to 2 Dependents provided they are attending same school as employee



Visa & Medical Check Fees:

Resident Visa fees paid for employee only once in Kuwait.  Dependent Visa fees are the responsibility fo the employee



End Of Service Benefit:

At end of Service Contract, employee is paid 1 month Basic salary for each full year worked as per Labour Law



Contract Period:

1 year contract - renewable



Location:

Kuwait City



Paperwork Requirements:

Notarized and Attested academic degrees, teaching certificates, transcripts, marriage and dependent birth certificates. You will be advised of school requirements

August 2025
