Job Description

We are looking for a talented UI/UX Designer to join our dynamic e-commerce team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of user-centered design, a passion for creating intuitive and engaging digital experiences, and experience designing for online retail platforms.


As the UI/UX Designer for our e-commerce platform, you will collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure that our website and mobile app provide an exceptional user experience. Your work will directly impact the ease of use, conversion rates, and overall customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities:


- User Research & Insights: Conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to gather insights into user behavior, pain points, and opportunities for improvement.
- Wireframing & Prototyping: Develop wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes that effectively communicate design ideas and solutions. Use tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, etc.


- Visual Design: Create aesthetically pleasing and user-friendly interfaces that align with the brand’s identity. Ensure consistency in UI components, colors, fonts, and overall look and feel.


- User Journey Mapping: Analyze and optimize customer journeys to reduce friction and improve overall conversion rates across the site and mobile app.


- Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to translate business and technical requirements into user-centric designs.


- Usability Testing: Plan and execute usability tests to gather feedback and iterate on designs to improve usability and satisfaction.


- Responsive Design: Ensure designs are fully responsive, providing a seamless experience across all devices (desktop, mobile, tablet).


- Data-driven Design: Leverage analytics tools (Google Analytics, Hotjar, etc.) to understand user interactions and drive design decisions that improve key metrics (e.g., cart abandonment, bounce rate, checkout flow).


- Stay Updated: Keep up-to-date with the latest UI/UX trends, techniques, and technologies, especially in e-commerce, to continuously improve our digital products.


Qualifications & Skills:


- Experience: 3+ years of proven experience in UI/UX design, specifically in e-commerce or related fields.
- Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing your experience in e-commerce design, including examples of responsive web design, user research, and data-driven design decisions.


- Tools Proficiency: Proficient in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.


- Understanding of UX Principles: Deep understanding of user-centered design, interaction design, and usability best practices.


- Familiarity with Front-End Development: Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and how designs translate into code (coding experience is a plus but not required).


- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to articulate design decisions and work with cross-functional teams.


- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for improving the customer experience.
