Job description

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, build, and maintain security automation workflows across SIEM, SOAR, EDR, firewalls, cloud platforms, and third-party security tools.
  • Develop Python-based automation for incident enrichment, triage, correlation, and response.
  • Integrate security platforms via REST APIs (SIEM, EDR, WAF, IAM, email security, threat intel feeds, etc.).
  • Automate detection engineering support (rule testing, tuning, false-positive reduction, enrichment logic).
  • Build reusable automation modules for alert handling, evidence collection, containment, and remediation.
  • Work closely with SOC analysts and detection engineers to translate manual processes into automated playbooks.
  • Design and maintain secure automation pipelines (error handling, logging, retries, rate-limit handling).
  • Optimize automation performance, reliability, and scalability in multi-tenant environments.
  • Document automation workflows, APIs, and internal tooling clearly for operational handover.
  • Continuously evaluate new tools, APIs, and techniques to improve security automation coverage.


Skills

  • Required Skills & Experience
  • Strong Python scripting skills (OOP, modules, virtual environments).
  • Hands-on experience with REST APIs, JSON, OAuth2 / token-based authentication.
  • Practical experience automating at least two or more of the following: SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR,Firewalls / network security, Cloud security platforms
  • Experience with Linux environments, shell scripting, and basic system administration.
  • Familiarity with Docker and containerized automation services.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals:
  • Network security, endpoint security, identity & access
  • Common attack techniques (MITRE ATT&CK)
  • Incident response lifecycle
