Job Description:


The Education Project Officer will support the implementation of World Vision Lebanon's (WVL) Education project in Akkar, contributing to its smooth and efficient operation. Under the guidance of the Project Coordinator, the Officer will provide operational and technical assistance during the assessment, planning, implementation, and monitoring phases to ensure quality and adherence to project goals. This role requires close collaboration with project partners, stakeholders, community members, and the different WVL teams, while focusing on engaging participants, managing resources, and meeting project deadlines.


Project Activity Implementation and Coordination


  • Coordinate field activity implementation with the support of the Project Coordinator.
  • Lead the Community Mobilization (CM) team and serve as the focal point for site field activities.
  • Update weekly/monthly CM schedules, organizing by location, activity, and team members under the guidance of the Project Coordinator.
  • Assist the Project Coordinator and Technical Team in creating and implementing a professional development plan for partner staff  to ensure high-quality educational services
  • Conduct weekly visits, monthly observations, and coaching sessions for partners’ staff.
  • Ensure child protection standards are upheld in all the activities involving children
  • Support the WVL technical team in preparing and conducting training sessions and TLCs for partners' staff
  • Meet with the partner field staff on a regular basis to discuss progress, monitor weekly lesson plans, and provide feedback.

Reporting, Documentation, and Monitoring


  • Complete and submit a monthly progress report to the Project Coordinator, including updates on educational and child protection (CP) issues.
  • Document and share lessons learned, as well as any complaints received from participants, to ensure timely response by concerned parties.
  • Handle output-level reporting and manage safeguarding and accountability incident reports.
  • Collect and enter all project data, ensuring accuracy and completeness of attendance sheets, distribution lists, teachers’ plans, and other Means of Verification (MOV) forms.
  • Ensure proper filing, archiving, and confidentiality of specific forms for referrals and weekly reporting.
  • Maintain the Referral Tracking Sheet, submitting updates monthly and flagging key protection issues or threats affecting children and communities.
  • Identify cases needing tailored support, following internal protocols to refer children to relevant service providers (e.g., health services, non-formal education, or psychosocial support services).

Logistics, Procurement, and Resource Management


  • Handle logistics and prepare monthly lists of items needed for project activities.
  • Track material and logistics at partner locations, following up on all procurement requests to support the timely implementation of field activities.
  • Support in project file closure by ensuring information is complete, organized, and aligns with project checklist criteria.

Carry out additional duties as needed.


  • Attend and actively participate in World Vision Lebanon's spiritual nurture activities and other organizational events.
  • Take personal responsibility for own security and contribute to fostering a positive security culture.
  • Adhere to security policies and procedures and report any incidents or breaches to the line manager and/or security manager.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the line manager.

Minimum Requirements:


  • Bachelors’ degree in Social Studies, Education, Psychology, Protection, Development Studies, human rights, or other relevant fields.
  • A minimum of 3 years of proven experience in implementing Education, Child Protection, Protection, as well as human rights and/or advocacy work.
  • Strong understanding of best practices and strategies in protection and Education programming (protection monitoring, GBV, Child protection, ECCD).
  • Familiarity with core principles of Child Rights, Participation, Do No Harm, Community and Family Support, as well as the minimum standards for Children in Emergencies.
  • Proven experience in community mobilization.
  • Proven experience working in emergency settings.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively represent and liaise with external parties.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to network and negotiate with partners and government bodies.
  • Ability to work in and contribute to a dynamic team operating in a fragile environment.
